Family-friendly holiday rentals in Messanges

We had a wonderful family stay in a very pleasant home to live in. The bikes available are pretty nice. All within walking distance or by bike. I would highly recommend this home. Thanks to Violaine and her husband for their hospitality and availability.

Raphael is a great host, the location is great close to the lake, the center of the town and the beach.

Perfectly located home to spend your vacation! Lots of activities and shops are nearby. The house is spacious and equipped with games and toys and is ideal for kids. The hot tub is the bonus for the grownups. Serge was super nice and responsive when we had questions. Highly recommend!

Sandra was a fantastic host greeting us by producing lovely meat, cheese, wine and beer in the bar area. She was contactable throughout our stay and has been helpful sorting out something for me since we left. The property is amazing with 5 bedrooms and several bathrooms/WCs. We used the pool and hot tub every day along with the games room containing a pool table and bar with a fridge and dishwasher. The rear garden is huge and the is a petanque court and table tennis table. There is generous outside space to eat (there were 9 of us) helped by a good sized gas bbq. The kitchen has loads of space with many of the cupboards full of items to be used. The nearest supermarkets (Intermarche & Carrefour) are both a few minutes drive with Carrefour offering low costs fuel. It is a relatively short drive to Bayonne which is a lovely town astride a river with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops with pretty good car parks available. Overall a lovely villa with a fantastic host.

Right! On weekends in the area for a wedding, Patrick's place to stay was just perfect!

Fiona was available to each message sent from us, a very nice house, in a good location. We were received by a friend of Fiona's who welcomed us very warmly and remained available during our stay. I recommend this rental and Fiona is a great host.

Very good stay at Lydia and Pierre-Yves's. We were hosted very well. Pierre-Yves even took the time to make recommendations on the places to visit in the area to better organize our weekend. The accommodation was perfect. Even better than in photos. We had a wonderful stay in this lovely accommodation which has direct access to the forest from the doorstep and is five minutes walk from a beautiful surfing beach. We loved the hundreds of miles of cycle tracks in the area, amazing bird life, and the lively town of Hossegor with its picturesque lake which has a lovely market even in low season. The boardwalks on the dunes in Seignosse and the Étang Noir nature reserve were particular highlights. Definitely worth having bikes for your stay 🚲 We would love to come back next year!

Authentic house in a very quiet environment without neighbors. Very pleasant stay in a beautiful region with many walks for those who like to hike with elevation. House very well located close to Biarritz, Spain, the ocean and the main Basque villages... We'll be there again.

Good family stay in this charming house. The location of the residence is really very good, we particularly appreciated the traffic ban on cars (if only for the safety of children, often on bicycles), the proximity of the bike paths (at the exit of the residence!) to the lake and the beaches, the amenities of the residence (swimming pool, mini golf, tennis, etc.) AND the house! And we feel that our host really cares about facilitating our arrival, our stay and our departure!

We spent 1 week as a family in this beautiful house, very pleasant to live in. The interior is spacious and the terrace is huge. The ocean is a 10-minute walk away. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful for a good vacation! In addition, Tomothy is very responsive and friendly, I highly recommend! And I'll be happy to come back for a few days :)

Very good welcome from the owners who did their best to arrive a little before the mentioned time because we arrived earlier. The house is located in a very nice private enclosure! With the forest right across to go for beautiful hikes to the ocean. The house is very warm. The owners are very responsive to small problems.

Charming house, functional, well-equipped. The proximity to the center and the beach is a big plus. This is my second stay in this house and I will return without hesitation.

A great stay. The accommodation is surrounded by trees that bring a pleasant freshness with the possibility of being in the shade or in the sun, with a view of the trees. The bike paths (Vélodysée) right next door allow you to visit the surroundings safely. The ocean is a few minutes (walk) from the accommodation and the beaches are huge with few people at this time (early, mid-June). We were very well received by Christelle and Philippe who gave us a lot of information about the places to visit and life in the Landes. We even had the visit of the chickens right next door :). A just perfect stay! The villa is ideally located in Capbreton: close to the beach, shops, bike paths... everything is within reach. The house is superb, very well maintained and equipped with absolutely everything you need — you feel at home from the moment you arrive. But what really made our stay exceptional was our host: incredibly kind, always available and attentive to make sure everything went well. Her warm welcome really made a difference. We would recommend this villa without a second thought and hope to come back very soon!

We had a wonderful week at this lovely place, full of 70s charm. Everything has its own style — slightly dated, but very well maintained and in great condition. We stayed with four children under the age of two, and they truly had the time of their lives. The garden is a highlight, with both sunny and shady spots under beautiful old trees — perfect for little explorers. The pool was still a bit cool at this time of year, but ideal for a refreshing dip. We also brought a small baby pool, which worked perfectly for the toddlers. There’s a barbecue, and the location is fantastic: great for walks, stroller-friendly, and just a 15-minute walk to the beach with 2 nice beach restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat.

We had a great time at Carole's place. The accommodation is super well located: quiet but everything you need is quickly accessible The house is very nice: it is spacious, bright, well equipped with lots of storage and with a large garden. The decor is beautiful and clean. There are a lot of activities and good restaurants around. We highly recommend this accommodation and thank Carole very much for these great tips!
