Holiday houses in Mesta

Dimitri was a fantastic host. The house is way better than pictures showed. Very happy to enjoy our time in Chios in their home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Isidoros’ lovely house in Armolia. As shown in the pictures, the house is a beautifully restored and decorated stone house, with a fully stocked modern kitchen and a very comfortable bed in the main bedroom. Beyond the house itself, highlights of this property are: 1) its location in the charming little town of Armolia, which is centrally located for accessing popular sights of the south (e.g. the towns of Pyrgi and Mesta, Mavra Volia beach, the Masticha museum etc.) and features a couple of great local restaurants, and 2) the host, Isidoros, who is extremely prompt and polite in all communications, and goes out of his way to be helpful—from leaving kind welcoming gifts, to accommodating last-minute changes when our scheduled ferry got cancelled. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

Great stay in an amazing UNESCO listed place like Mesta. It’s a must visit! The dome was small but suited us perfectly. Easy to find. The only thing guests need to be aware of is the low ceiling in the bedroom. If you have mobility issues perhaps look elsewhere, but this was no issue for us. Would stay again

Marianna has created a beautiful getaway in the most beautiful village of Chios. All the interior was made with love for detail. There was nothing additional we would wish for. She is a great host very proactive and super kind. We want to thank her a lot for the time we spent in her.place.

Hospitality counts here a lot. We were welcomed magically. The stay in the apartment in Mesta was unfortunately too short, there was still so much to discover. The village, on the edge of which the little stone house is located, is more than beautiful. The friendliness of the inhabitants, the food, the old houses. All that we liked so much. For a visit to the surrounding villages, the 4-times daily bus is enough, but if you also want to visit one of the beaches, should definitely be equipped with a car, scooter or bike. Anyway, we will come back and recommend Evaggelia!

Georges instructions were amongst the clearest I've ever been given on AirBnB. The apartment was perfectly located one block from the square. The three restaurants in town were all amazing. We only had one minor issue (inconsistent water pressure), and he contacted someone in the village to resolve it that night, and then a plumber to double check all is working well. Our baby was unwell, so we couldn't do all of the trails, but what we did do was great. George made sure to offer any assistance with the hospital, and with any translations or pharmacy pickups.

Amazing stay at Finareti’s place. My wife booked this last year and we were happy to visit again. The renovation brings a summer vibe to the house and the beautiful terrace makes you feel like you’re on a sail boat. Location is amazing as it is literally 25 steps from the sea, close by you’ll find plenty of fine tavernas. Inside the house you ll find everything you need. Everything is well thought and clean. we enjoyed our stay once again, can’t wait to visit next year! Finareti was really helpful and quick to respond to all our requests. Thank you Finareti!

The rooms at Voltes are located within the well-preserved medieval castle of Mesta, which feels like something straight out of a movie set! Staying there was like stepping back in time and living a few centuries ago. Room 12 was exceptionally clean and featured a window, which was a crucial detail for us. The small courtyard, surrounded by high walls yet open to the sky, truly made us feel like residents of the castle. The staff were very helpful and responsive. They met us at their exclusive parking lot and kindly carried our luggage to the room. As long as you keep the door closed, you won’t have any issues with mosquitoes. While we encountered them in the small square of the castle, we had none in the room. There are two small grocery stores with very friendly staff in the area, and just one restaurant. While it’s a good option for a meal, I’d recommend having lunches and dinners at other restaurants or taverns in nearby villages for more variety. I highly recommend staying here
