Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mevagissey

Wow - what an amazing place to stay! This is probably the most memorable AirBnB I have stayed in so far. You are right on the edge of the seafront and by the harbour, with the double aspect living room enabling you to see both - the sea views are just stunning. Margaret was a really friendly and communicative host, and the parking space is good. I would heartily recommend this as a great place to stay; it is just so special being able to look out and see the sea from bed, and to hear the waves lapping at the shore as you go to sleep or make your cup of tea in the morning.

We had a fabulous stay at Best's Cottage, the views from the cottage are stunning and Mevagissey is the most beautiful fishing village. Lovely, friendly people, lots of shops to explore and fabulous food. Lovely, quiet beach 10 minutes walk from the cottage. We stayed with 3 teenage children and 2 dogs and were very comfortable - although we were rarely in the house because there was lots to do outside! The cottage is comfortable and well equipped, and the housekeeper next door was very kind and helpful if we needed her. Provided you don't mind a bit of steep walk up to the cottage and to/ from the beach, you can't fail to have a wonderful time.

Superb house with everything you could possibly need for a week or more. Plenty of space for our group of 4. Clean, tidy and easy to access onsite parking. It is only a few minutes’ walk into the picture postcard village/harbour of Mevagissey, but be warned the walk up to the house from the main road is fairly long and very steep. The main village car park is opposite the drive up to the house so you don’t need to walk! We would be happy to stay here again. Thoroughly recommended.

We loved are stay, it was beautiful, peaceful, felt like you were miles from anywhere. Great hosts, very quick response to messages. It was a little hot the first night so we ask if they had a fan and they supplied one strait away. Could not ask for a better place to stay. Highly recommend

We had a beautiful stay at this place. It was perfect for a group of friends wanting to explore parts of Cornwall. The place was spacious and airy, and we had a great time using the hot tub! The place was tidy and it was a very comfortable stay. Connor was very responsive and helpful, and gave clear instructions and was always there to answer. The place was very near to Eden Project, just 15 minute drive and other places with spectacular beaches and small coastal towns. We would highly recommend!

The place was spotless and lovely to stay in, it is just up from the beach with incredibly scenic walking routes basically at the doorstep.

Great place to stay in the heart of Mevagissey. Everything was as described by the host and they were very quick to respond over a couple of questions we had. Everything was easily walkable and the fact that the host offers a parking space for £30 for the week, meant no worry for us and we could settle in and relax from the moment we got here.

Barbara's house is wonderful. It has a stunning view over Mawgan Porth beach and you can walk down to the beach via the dunes. Sitting on the balcony in the evening enjoying the view is a treat! The house itself is lovely - compact but it has everything you need. Barbara is a very responsive and helpful host. I would very happily stay again!

Our second time staying with Siobhan, it’s a really lovely place, modern, clean, peaceful, all amenities and a great location being close to the beach and the Charlestown. Siobhan is a great host. Highly recommend.

As soon as we walked through that door we could see the beautiful sea and we were just in awe of the place. The location is 10/10, the apartment is stunning and so quiet and we didn’t really notice that we had neighbours which was lovely and made it feel private which is what we look for in a place. Cornwall as whole as well is just stunning and we HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking at it. We have found a special place and we will hopefully come back again and again. This is our happy place. We were so sad to leave as we had such a beautiful holiday. A lot of special memories made. The parking was very good, covered and easy to use, self check in is favourable, the checking in and out time is reasonable and the communication was very good. The train is so useful and we actually enjoyed watching that go by, the walking is amazing, the beach is beautiful, the views from the window and patio are amazing. The sofas and bed are very comfortable which is rare. Thank you so much.

The accommodation was really nice and in a great location, easy to get around, and was perfect for what we needed, Jo was a lovely host and gave us many recommendations on where to eat and visit. We had a fantastic time!

We absolutely loved staying at Charlotte's place! The loft was very spacious, extremely comfy, and well-equipped. A parking spot is provided. Charlotte lives on the property as do her two sweet pups and some very sociable chickens who tended to greet us when we walked to our car each morning. The location is great, very quiet and peaceful, but a quick drive to the center of Falmouth where there are lots of shops and wonderful restaurants. Trebah garden is only a few minutes away by car and is outstanding. Charlotte is very kind and welcoming, and a super responsive host. We couldn't have asked for anything more and truly enjoyed our stay at the loft. I highly recommend renting this property.

Caroline and Max were great hosts. The accommodation was clean and cosy and we felt very comfortable in the apartment. The accommodation was within walking distance to all local amenities. Thank you both for such a wonderful weekend.

We had a wonderful stay, everything was as described. The beds and sofas were very comfortable! Great to have little touches like water, milk, biscuits, and the air fryer made it easy to cook simple meals. A convenient location as we were visiting both Eden Project & Heligan

Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt.Die Unterkunft ist bestens eingerichtet, sehr sauber und ruhig. Es hat viele gute Restaurants in der Nähe, die gut zu Fuss erreichbar sind. Candina hat uns vielseitige Empfehlungen für Restaurants und Ausflüge gegeben. Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gefallen und wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

We had a lovely week in Emily & Matt's flat. We liked that you can walk into town but also to Fistral beach & quieter areas. Great views - I enjoyed relaxing, reading in the bay window. I treated myself to swim & breakfast at Headland hotel (special offer).

It is almost under the viaduct but there is almost no sound from trains so do not let that put you off even if a light sleeper. Very convenient location for the centre of town.

Unbelievable view and a very modern apartment to match. 2 parking spaces made life easy for 2 couple to stay here, and the apartment itself had a great amount of space. Walkable into the centre of Newquay (about 5 mins) and has lots of great beach / bays on your doorstep. Loved our stay and would highly recommend. Thanks

We were lucky enough to spend seven days in Beth's beautiful apartment. Now we say goodbye with a smile and a tear in our eye. The tear in our eye says "time to say goodbye," even though we don't want to leave just yet. The smile in our eye expresses our enthusiasm for our stay. We received a warm welcome; we lacked nothing. Beth has thought of everything. The apartment is a dream. And so is the view from the terrace. You could spend hours there, unwinding and watching the hustle and bustle on the beach. If you don't know Perranporth, you should definitely visit this little town. But even if you want to come back again, you should let this accommodation convince you. Het uitzicht vanuit het appartement was adembenemend! De hele haven van Fowey en Polruan in een groot schilderij. Er was altijd wel beweging op het water van piepkleine tot geweldig grote schepen.

Smashing wee place with great access for walks around the area or just exploring Penryn itself and especially handy for cafes, takeaways restaurants and good pubs. It was nice to return to somewhere I'd been before and see how it had improved since 1979!
