The Chalfonte Hotel is such a cool place! If you’re intrigued with history and character, this is an experience for you. Only a 5 min walk from the beach and lots of great restaurants and things to do in the area. This was my first time in Cape May, it will certainly not be my last.

Ruslan and Staff were terrific! Accommodating, great communication. The bed was comfortable, room presented exactly as described, mini freezer/fridge came in handy. Fantastic location - center of action short walk to local attractions. Varsity Inn, a staple if OC right around the corner - bonus!! If another need arises would definitely stay again! It is always a pleasure to stay in the beautiful Chalfonte Hotel! Charming historic Victorian surroundings and a beautiful relaxing veranda three blocks from Cape May's beaches. The front desk is always helpful and friendly, and the King Edward bar is always full of interesting conversations and delicious drinks. We have been coming to Cape May for 10 years and have stayed in the Chalfonte for three, I don't see myself staying anywhere else!

I enjoyed my stay in the little corner room at the Chalfonte. I loved reading and people-watching on the porch. It's a great location, just a few blocks from the beach and the main shopping area. I parked my car a few blocks away and rented a bicycle to get around town. The bathroom was a bit further down the hall than I expected, but it was always clean and available.

Great spot! loved the communal feel and accessibility to the beach. Room was tidy and exactly what I needed. Great experience all around!

Great place to stay and relax, friendly neighborhood, and some bars close by for comfort.

It’s was overall a really nice place. The only complaint that I have is that the pool was closed for my stay which I did not find out until I had already booked the place. It didn’t matter though because it was too cold to swim anyway. There was a hallway connecting rooms 207 & 208, which would have bothered if someone was staying in the other room because the door is loud.

Meghan, my 2 friends (from grade school) and I enjoyed our 4 days in Avalon. Your location which is one block from the beach is very convenient. We also had no issues with parking. We appreciate your attention to detail and making your condo very comfortable for the 3 of us. The binder with all the pertinent information was very helpful and the checkin process was easy. A small vacation we did not realize we needed. We selected this place because we were invited to a wedding that was going to be in the area and needed a reasonable priced place to stay. It was a very pleasant surprise to see that we had a view of the beach, a very nice and comfortable room, a welcome pool and friendly, helpful staff. We felt like we walked into an atmosphere that allowed us to decompress from stresses and actually have a tiny vacation. This was our first time traveling to New Jersey and it probably will not be the last. Very impressed.

Marion was very friendly, hospitable and helpful. My room was clean, neat and very cute. The air conditioning was great and the microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker were very clean.. Loved the ease of stores and restaurants within close proximity. Boardwalk was right there a block away so easy access to boards. Definitely will return.

Honestly the place was way better than I expected. It’s not terribly far from the boardwalk but far enough to have peace and quiet. The view of the beach was amazing. Steve was a great host. I had a family emergency and Steve was more than accommodating. I will definitely return again! Thanks again, my family loved it!

Excellent location, this was actually a spontaneous trip that I didn’t book until we were on our way there. There were no issues and they even offered to pay a small price to extend the check out time for us, but our son got sick so we had to leave. We would stay here again. Thank you, Samantha and Cody

Great clean spacious apartment. Immediate area is not the nicest to walk around. But it is a great location to drive to Pittsburg or get on major roadways!

My friends and I stayed at Edwin's place for the country music fest. The room was exactly as described and was very clean. It was within walking distance of the boardwalk and beach. Safe neighborhood, we had to park down the street as we had more than one car but there was free street parking less than a block away. Pool was clean and there are 4 grills along with picnic tables. We had a great stay and look forward to booking again!

Great location, just one block from boards. Had beautiful and comfortable cabanas on 1st and 2nd floor. No noise from neighbors. Easy check in and check out. Kind and approachable staff. Would stay again!

Great place to stay! It was within walking distance to mostly everything we needed during our long weekend. Owner was also very responsive to any inquiries prior to check-in.
