What a great find! Margie was an excellent host! Very good with communication and extremely accommodating. The property is very well maintained and the house was very homely with 2 great entertainment areas, a swimming pool for the summer, and as an alternate, multiple fireplaces for a snug winter getaway accompanied with an oxtail potjie and glühwein. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the appliances / utensils you'll need, bathrooms modern with clean extra floor towers for water run off , luxury soaps and shower jells, and bedrooms were well laid out. There's a pool table, dart board and several board games to keep everyone entertained. Attention to detail included, a welcome bottle of wine, informative booklet, chocolates on the beds, packs of tissues for all the occupants, and chalk for the pool queues. There is a short drive to the marina where club access is included, with picnicking spots and watercraft launching facilities available. Highly recommended!!!

Lovely little spot on the river when you just want to get away for a bit. Cottage was safe, secure and peaceful.

The Host Paul allowed us to have our very small intimate wedding there.. it was the best night of my whole life and the propert is superb😍. I would not trade that night and the overall feel for anything else. I have to add that the staff member was walking around our guests and for most park of the wedding sat in the main houses' bar on his phone watching videos (the guest toilet is right next to the bar btw).. i eventually asked him around 23h00 when our guests left to please leave our house , it was quite awkward having him sit there watching videos while we all stand around the kitchen/ bar and all talking about how the wedding and night went.

Wonderful place and such a free space. Wonderful hosts, just had such a wonderful time. They thought of ia by makimg a great fire, it waa just so sweet.

Rachelle is a lovely host. Immediately as I walked in the gate, she was waiting. She showed me the cottage and let me know if I needed anything, I could give her a ring. I didn't even need to because she already had the heater set up in the bedroom, I found it so cozy. There was an extra blanket that came in handy too. The space was very clean and I felt right at home. The place is stocked with the best coffee, tea and a carton of milk in the fridge which is really nice. I devoured the rusks in one evening, they were amazing. I have to come back and make a to go order as well. Lastly, the bed is very soft. I had the best rest with this staycation. I highly recommend this place if you want peace and comfort.

I recently stayed at Michelle's AirBnB in the south of Johannesburg, and it was absolutely fantastic. The apartment was well-appointed and extremely clean, offering an upmarket space that exceeded my expectations. Michelle, the host, was incredibly accommodating and attentive to every detail. Her communication was excellent, and she provided clear access codes for getting in and out of the estate, which made the experience seamless. I truly loved my stay and would recommend this beautiful place to anyone visiting the area. I'll definitely be choosing to stay here every time I'm up in the south of Johannesburg.

Me and my partner had a really great stay at Kevin’s place, everything was perfectly clean, the pool and gym were great to have and location is just stunning. Kevin was a really welcoming host, making sure we had everything we needed and more. Couldn’t recommend any more!

I would definitely recommend Elm Tree Cottage. The cottage is absolutely beautiful—tastefully decorated with so much attention to detail. Delicious coffee and even a welcoming drink—what a treat! Great stay in the countryside. Really loved the farm atmosphere and Owen was on hand to assist with any requests or questions - even giving us a radio handset to call if anything was required. Lots of flies but that can be expected with the horses and cows around. Even though it rained in the evening (which was welcomed cos it was super hot) we still managed to have a great time thanks to the BBQ on the veranda. Thanks Conrad and team

inside the Uilhuis, one could see an experienced and tasteful hand of hospitality. kitchen was very well equipped and it was a culinary experience away from home! Journey to the venue was adventurous through the mielie fields in rainy season and a 4x4 is a must! Stefan and Maritsa were EXCELLENT hosts and their hospitality knew no bounds! for an "off-the-grid"-experience, only an hours drive from joburg, still surrounded with the small luxuries...we will definitely go again!
