After locally sourcing fresh ingredients, head to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and climb the stairs to carry the ingredients to the hearth space. From Tokyo to Karuizawa, it is 60 minutes by Shinkansen, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so for example, you can work in the morning and take a half afternoon. There are Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, and a dining room for couples, families, and groups. There is a kitchen, so of course you can cook for yourself. You rent the entire building, so you don't have to worry about sharing it with others. The house only has a shower, but there is a hot spring nearby. (7-minute walk) Ideal for the currently popular workcation. Combined with the adjacent Ume House, it can accommodate up to 8 guests.

Fujisawa's inn is a renovated kominka house built in 1890 in Fujiwara, Minakami, Gunma Prefecture, combining the best of old and new. Enjoy the quiet passage of time and the changing seasons in this space that feels like everyday life, but is extraordinary. We started growing vegetables in the field next to Fujisawa's house. Guests are welcome to pick their own vegetables when they stay. Weekdays are 10% off compared to weekends and holidays.
