A beautiful yard and unique cabin, peaceful place

The cabin was beautiful! It was private and we felt like we were removed from everything. We were able to relax and recharge. We were left great ideas for hiking, food, and sightseeing. We would love to book it again!

Nice little Cottage. Worked great for me and my family. Would be a great romantic get away for a couple.

The hosts, Katie and Curt, were very friendly and responsive. The hot tub on the patio was a big bonus. I also enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the trolley go by through the woods ($3 to take the short historic ride). And just a few minutes to walk to Lake Harriet pavilion to take in some live music or walk around the lake. I’m excited to come back sometime for this relaxing get-away!

Hosts were fantastic to communicate with, keeping us updated on what will be needed to get through our relaxing weekend over at their cabin!

This is a great place for relaxation and quiet, with a wonderful view of activity out on Lake Superior. The night view with the downtown lights is terrific. The hosts were very responsive with questions we had about the history of the property which was fascinating. We would stay there again as it is perfect for a couple to kick back and enjoy the sights of Duluth.

We always appreciate the peaceful surroundings and view of the lake. Guests are quiet. Perfect for families where kids can play, swim and fish off the docks.

Kristian was an amazing host with an absolutely wonderful lodgings provided to us for our anniversary vacation. Kristian replied to all of my messages in less than 20 minutes and was very helpful with wonderful food recommendations in and out of town. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful bonfire, time in the hot tub, and plenty of time fishing and swimming in the lake. The shower was very clean and private, absolutely exceeding all expectations. This getaway was exactly what we needed, I cannot recommend the boathouse enough! My boyfriend and I will absolutely be returning to the boathouse next summer! If you are a part of the LGBTQ+ community, looking for a safe place to vacation without judgement this is absolutely the vacation home for you! These hosts were understanding, accepting, and overall incredible people. There is also a wonderful LGBTQ+ friendly book and coffee shop downtown I absolutely adored. Thank you so much Kristian and Joe for making our vacation beyond fabulous!

My stay at The Woodlands was exactly what I was looking for—quiet, cozy, and deeply restorative. The cabin has a peaceful, tucked-away feel that made it easy to unplug and settle into stillness. I spent the weekend journaling, reading, and just breathing, with no pressure to be anywhere but there. While there were tons of trails to hike and stars to gaze, I didn’t venture out much—sometimes the best kind of retreat is the one where you don’t feel the need to do anything at all if your content and coszy staying in. The space itself is thoughtfully laid out and incredibly comfortable, with just the right balance of rustic charm and intentional care. I’m so grateful for the chance to stay—it was exactly the reset I needed.

This is such a treasure! We pulled up and it instantly felt safe and inviting. The full strawberry moon raised over the lake as we looked out the huge picture windows. We couldn’t have loved this place more.

The Whimsical Cottage was clean, cozy and comfortable! View of the lake through the wall of sliders was beautiful and peaceful. Hosts communicated clearly and quickly. There is a coffee press but no coffee pot, so if you’re a coffee drinker may want to bring your own. We felt right at home and would definitely recommend!

It was obvious that the host has a passion for what she does. impressive attention to detail and very cool cultural decor.

The cottage was so charming--rustic, cozy, inviting. Stacey has created such a welcoming environment from all of the amenities to the recommendations to her beautiful yard. I would definitely stay here again!

Stay Boreal was great! It was a serene, beautiful location with an awesome view, location and sauna. It felt very special to stay there and we felt cared for with how proactive Alex was making sure we enjoyed our stay.

this tiny home is the perfect place for a calm getaway. super close to downtown duluth, but still has that private feel. the place was super clean, organized, and had everything we needed when we arrived. we found the tiny home even cuter in person than the photos, and the hosts are very kind and responsive. would recommend!!

I stayed in this sweet little bungalow while visiting my son, daughter-in-law and my new baby grand-daughter. I couldn’t have picked a more perfect home base. From the moment I arrived, the place felt like a warm hug. It’s soft, quiet, and full of charm. Everything inside is thoughtfully arranged and fully equipped.—from complete kitchen to a very comfortable bedroom with a king-sized bed and a flat screen tv on the wall. The living space was cozy and inviting, a gorgeous couch with soft blankets and a gentle atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after a joyful (and sometimes exhausting!) day of baby cuddles and family time. It was close enough to visit my family each day with ease, but still offered a peaceful space to retreat to and recharge. It truly felt like a little sanctuary. For any family coming to town to be near loved ones, this bungalow is the perfect spot.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful, serene space! Quiet, peaceful, green, gorgeous - my stay was positively idyllic. The forest was absolutely dreamy. The tiny house was cozy, relaxing, pristinely clean, and easy to find. It was the perfect place to escape to from the busyness of every day life. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space!

This is our second year visiting the sweet gunflint gem. We adore Chad and Megan’s Norse Hus and highly recommend it to travelers who are looking for a serene and nature filled stay. We use this cabin as a jumping off point for all kinds of adventures- hiking, canoeing and fishing!
