A really enjoyable stay at Platankia. It was extremely well equipped and had everything you would need and more, only thing that would help would a microwave - the kids really enjoyed the toys that were in the beach basket and kept them entertained without the need for a TV etc. Be warned wifi is a bit slow but great if you want to disconnect from the Internet for a while. Some really great restaurants, would recommend Vespas for Pizzas and Vitsalo is great for seafood. Everyone in town is extremely friendly and kind and Myrtos is always contactable if you have any other queries. We enjoyed being able to pick oranges and lemons and made enough lemonade to sink a battleship! I really enjoyed the hmock and the slide and swing is great for children. It is extremely private as you have large greenhouses on both sides but at the same time it is super easy to walk into town. Overall I would definitely recommend this place and would come back. The gorge is worth seeing and lots of other stuff

Everything has already been said, it's just unbelievable. Popi embodies Greek hospitality. There were drinks and vegetables in the refrigerator. You could help yourself in their beautiful garden. The highlight was the great food. We had fresh fish and many different vegetarian things. Simply delicious. Unfortunately, it was only 4 days, but they were great. We would come back anytime. Lovely well situated studio apartment right on the sea. The facilities were all needed for a month stay. The town/village is very picturesque facing a wide beach which is 20 m from apartment. It was january so most tourist restaurants/coffee shops were closed but enough open to enjoy the quiet period. Weather was excellent (for the time of year). Bed was comfortable, seating on balcony was fine and kitchen facilities more than adequate for 1-2 persons. The roads around village are very narrow so parked car at a distance. I had a very excellent month in Mirtos and did not want to drive. Enjoyed sunshine and sea.
