SUMIRE AOI HOUSE - Minimal Japanese House

"SUMIRE AOI HOUSE" is a small Japanese house. The basic structure of the house was designed in 1952 by Makoto Masuzawa, a leading architect in Japan. And the house was redesigned by Makoto Koizumi in 1999. I had lived 20 years with my family. The sense of space by the south-facing large windows and the stairwell, it will make you attracted. The area has some parks and fields, and it's leisurely. I can introduce nearby shops. Please spend your time like traveling daily life.

Enjoy Japanese life

Enjoy Japanese life in a traditional Japanese-style room. Family travelers are also welcome. You can rent one side of a two-family home, with 1F (entrance, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and toilet) and 2F (6 tatami and 4.5 tatami Japanese-style rooms with private bedrooms) available for rent. There is one shared door between our house and yours, but it is always locked to prevent people from going between the houses.　

TOKYO LITTLE HOUSE: 1948 home in heart of city

Note: The next-door office building is scheduled to begin construction work from January 2026. Some noise may occur during the daytime (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.), except on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Tokyo Little House is an accommodation and tourist space located in a 78-year-old house at the heart of ever-changing Tokyo. Upstairs is a private residential hotel. Downstairs, a cafe and gallery.

100-year-old wooden house/ 1min to the station

This house was built more than 100 years ago (survived WW2 and some great earthquakes), and was renovated recently. It is located just 1min away from Hiroo subway station (Hibiya-line). Hiroo is one of most popular residential neighborhood in Tokyo. There are many restaurants and shops in Hiroo and it is very easy to access to Ebisu, Roppongi (3min by subway), Shibuya and Omote-sando (within 3km).
