derek's place is great! it has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing, extended stay. nestled in a quieter corner of ellsworth, it is a calm retreat at the end of a busy day, yet it is still only a 3-minute drive to downtown ellsworth, where you can enjoy all of the charming local coffee shops, restaurants and gift shops right off of main street. if you're not interested in the local scene, it's also just a 6-8 minute drive to the more developed, chain store epicenter of the town (hannaford, walgreens, mcdonalds, dunkin, walmart, etc). i had zero issues during my stay, so did not need to reach out to brandon for anything. that said, his communication was at all times proactive, detailed and helpful with respect to all of the "routine" things (such as check-in, house rules, and check-out). book this place! you won't regret it.

The place was perfect for our family of four. We felt at home and enjoyed our stay. The hosts were friendly and quick at responding. Everything was as advertised. The location up the hill was amazing and we would happily return for a stay here in the future. Five stars, highly recommend the place.

My wife and our 2 dogs took to Jordyn’s place for some relaxation. It was well stocked and had all the essentials we needed. The house was clean and cozy, with amazing views. Remote yet was close proximity to everything we wanted to do on our trip, including 50ish minutes to Acadia. The pond was perfect for our dogs to play fetch in. Jordyn was very responsive, and we would definitely stay again! Some cons-some of these things were out of her control but worth noting. The beach/yard area is made of tiny pebbles that stuck to everything. Despite wiping paws every time they came inside, we had to vacuum a dozen times because these stones got everywhere. The house would have been more dog friendly if it had a detachable shower head. The yard wasn’t very well maintained with high grass. The mini split AC units were not very reliable- thankfully the temps were mild during our trip. The bugs were AWFUL. Being outside when it was nice was unbearable this time of year with gnats/mosquitoes.

AMAZING spot for a weekend getaway! Had a great time and the place was fantastic!
