Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Monmouthshire

Petra and Dick were very gracious hosts. They took their time to explain how to operate the shower, of which the controls were quite unfamiliar to me, and they prepared a delicious breakfast at a beautiful patio the next morning.

I had a short but very pleasant and comfortable stay at Olivia's house with everything I needed for my two-day visit to Vobster Quay. Being able to hang wet diving gear in Olivia's garden was really helpful. The location is very quiet but amenities are close by should you need them. I would definitely stay at Olivia's house again - Ted the terrier was the icing on the cake!

It was lovely staying at Jessica's. She made us feel comfortable and welcome. The room is wonderful with a stunning view of Bath, and waking up to it was a pleasure. Her kitchen and garden are lovely too. While having breakfast, you can take in a panoramic view of Bath. While the house is easily accessible, the location makes it quiet and peaceful. The bed was really comfy too and we slept really well. We had a really packed 2 days and walked about a lot, so getting to rest at such a lovely, welcoming space at the end of the day was brilliant. Jessica is very knowledgeable about Bath and gave great recommendations. Meeting her was as much a pleasure as the stay!

Fantastic peaceful no traffic lots of walks dogs loved it clean tidy bed nice .walk to pub was very good food did not want to come home very helpful and good walks.views to die for will be back soon

Mike was a lovely host. Welcoming, warm and interesting. He communicated really well before and during my stay. The house and room was lovely, as was the beautiful cat Angel. I had a comfy couple of nights' sleep and had everything I needed. Mike was especially helpful for helping my friend when she broke down outside his house after dropping me off one night! He was incredibly helpful and generous and we are both so grateful for his help. Would love to stay again next time I'm in Frome :)

What can I say? From the moment I arrived, Naomi was warm and welcoming and made me feel completely at home. She was full of great recommendations for coffee shops and nearby restaurants (there are a number of great ones) and knowledgable about fun day trips and local must-sees. Along with her husband Dave and son Michael, Naomi made my stay a lovely and stress-free one and I would wholeheartedly recommend their home for a stay in Cardiff. Thank you so much, Naomi. You couldn't possibly have been a more gracious host. :)

This is a rare find in a beautiful location with exceptionally helpful and organised hosts. The breakfast was generous and sublime on both days of my stay Very comfy bed and so peaceful. I would love to return when I visit Ledbury again.

We had a lovely family getaway at the chapel over Christmas. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. Matthew and Graham were fantastic hosts. They were very responsive and accommodated a few small requests we had.

Kenny is a superb host and we had a great stay, our first in Monmouth but not our last....I cannot recommend highly enough

Lovely B&B with a fantastic café and excellent location right in the centre of Monmouth. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Our room was on the small size but well equipped with everything we needed.

This place is amazing! The whole team working at Creates is wonderful, and they all made sure we had a fantastic stay. The room was well appointed, comfortable and clean - and full of thoughtful touches to make our stay easy. Breakfast was delicious - we upgraded to a fabulous cooked brekkie, but I did have pancake envy. We’ll be back one day for another stay and to sample them!

Exceptional hospitality and care from Siobhan at this beautiful bed and breakfast! This 15th century historic house is the ideal location for exploring the picturesque Wye Valley as Redbrook is a charming village just minutes away from Monmouth. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, and every small detail seems to be thought of and catered for. Breakfasts are superb, and for dinner there are two local pubs within walking distance which have decent menus or you can easily get to Monmouth which has loads of options. Best of all, vegans get special treatment at Siobhans's B and B with no missing out at all!! Would highly recommend this place!

We had a great 3 nights staying in the lovely farmhouse. Our room was spacious, well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Richard and Idris were really friendly and we enjoyed chatting at breakfast. Our dog was very happy and we found local walks for her. It was the perfect base for my husband's walk in the mountains with friends. The Pub was good and there was a beautiful Church service on Sunday morning. We would definitely stay again.

We were doing a fundraising walk with an early start. Alternative breakfast arrangements were really helpful and the breakfast provided was spot on. I would return but this time to enjoy a more relaxed morning

The room was very clean (I find it important that the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is clean and has good shower pressure which this did have!) I particularly liked the attention to detail, the slippers, bottles water, towels, coffee and biscuits along with the shampoo and shower gel. It was a cosy room and the breakfast the following morning was a nice addition and tasty! Ben was very helpful during our arrival.

Our stay at Rob & Vicky's was amazing. They were very flexible on our arrival time when we informed them we had our flight delayed. Very welcoming, friendly and talkative couple, and everything was super clean and as described in the add. I very much recommend!

This is a 5 star b&b, one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. So cosy, comfortable and scrupulously clean and well maintained. The facilities are perfect and well presented. Breakfast was lovely and fresh (we had sour dough toast, filter coffee, fruit and omega seeds) fresh flowers in the bedroom was a lovely touch. Fantastic views. The hosts are amazing and very attentive.

Lyn and John were fantastic hosts - being generous with lively conversation but also providing options for privacy as desired. I paid a reduced rate due to some regulars being out of town, but they are already providing an excellent value classic bed and breakfast service with homestay personal touches. Lyn offers a full cooked breakfast and cereals to all guests, but was happy to make adjustments to tastes and needs. John also makes a tasty coffee from the espresso machine. I would be glad to return if I am able to find a moment when they are not fully booked!

Georgie’s cabin is wonderful if you are looking for peace and quiet, rest and relaxation. It was just as described. It’s totally secluded and private but Georgie is just next door if needed. The fresh eggs from the hens was a lovely touch. The veranda and the views were incredible. Spent hours just gazing into the distance. We’d love to come back in a different season and get to enjoy the log burner. Wonderful place to spend a weekend. Thank you.

A great place to stay and very convenient for visiting bath. A lovely bedroom, very tastefully furnished with good facilities. The host is very helpful and thoughtful with everything provided you might need. A delightful stay.

Great stay - beautiful house and super hosts

If there were more than five stars to give I’d happily do so! Julia and Tony aren’t your average Hosts, they are super dooper hosts! Our entire stay was absolutely lovely. From the home baked cookies we received on arrival, to the best bed and bedding we’ve ever slept in we can’t rate Stoneleigh highly enough! The house is beautiful and gloriously renovated; we were made to feel part of a very comfortable home. All of Julia and Tony’s recommendations on where to go and places to see, were perfect for us, we brought our road bikes and spent three days exploring the countryside. We ate like kings and enjoyed the whole experience. We’d recommend Stoneleigh and Julia, Tony and Love Dog to everyone!

Great place for our lads who were working in the area to stay, fantastic pub food, great atmosphere, very relaxed and friendly 10/10 will be back in the future and this place will be our first choice
