Moonacre Yurt

EmmaRating, 5 stars71 months ago
We wanted a place where our family could connect, the children could experience a different way of life (we’re townies!) and our lungs could fill with fresh air. Moonacre Yurt hit the spot!! Surrounded by chickens, cows and Mother Nature, we soaked up as much of the atmosphere and Dide’s knowledge as possible. What a wonderful host, encouraging the kids to collect fresh eggs and talking to them about biodynamic farming, such a pleasure! Not a place for those of you wanting creature comforts (compost toilet, walk outside the yurt to get to bathroom and kitchen) but oh so wonderful for a snippet of the good life...

Woodland cosy Yurt, Wye Valley, Forest of Dean

Lucinda MeganRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We just had a wonderful stay at the yurt as a birthday present for my boyfriend. It was just what we needed, peaceful and private in beautiful surroundings. I loved sitting in the hot tub looking up at the trees and waking up in the woods with all the birds singing. The yurt is well equipped with everything you need and we managed to get to the farmers market for some local produce. I really hope we get to come back one day!

Hazel Yurt glamping at Olchon Valley Campsite

JaneRating, 5 stars9 months ago
The yurt was really well equipped and cozy. We slept well, and enjoyed the peaceful setting. The site has a brilliant field kitchen and field laundry, also a games and social area with a pool table which we used. The showers and toilets are well maintained and always spotless. We loved the secluded atmosphere and easy access to the cat's back walk. A beautiful setting, and a clean site that is looked after with great care.

Yurt 3 at Hidden Valley Yurts

RobynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The stay got off to a brilliant start with a trip down across the field and over the stream in the farm buggy with all our luggage. The yurts were really fun & comfy and toasty warm with the wood burner on. The kids loved the swings in the woods and roasting marshmallows over the campfire. Brilliant trip - we will be back!

Yurt 1 at Hidden Valley Yurts in the Wye Valley.

TimRating, 5 stars14 months ago
This is a great place to stay. We were lucky enough to have the site to ourselves so it was especially peaceful. The location is wonderful and incredibly beautiful and there are eighty acres of woods and land to explore. Mike is rewilding various areas which gets a huge thumbs up from us. Our yurt was such a good place to stay - we saw the moon through the roof which was very special. The yurt did smell rather damp but we didn’t mind at all - I’m assuming yurts are prone to this. Highly recommended!

Unique timber yurt, stunning views and use of pool

Chris Rating, 5 stars5 months ago
My life is transformed. Never would I ever of believed that a round wooden cabin would fill my heart with so much warmth and gratitude. The optical illusion, the miniature door, the abundance of blankets and fluffy rugs, the walk to the toilet that made me appreciate the Yurt even more; this Yurt is beyond words existing in the farthest galaxy of cosmic madness. Yurt really is love and Yurt really is life. Thank you ✨️

Art deco Yurt & private bathroom

CathrynRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We really enjoyed our stay here - we stayed with our 7 month old. Nicola provided a great travel cot for us. Luckily our baby wasn't crawling yet and was happy to stay in the travel cot to play, it would have been a bit more difficult if he had been on the move - although Nicola was very flexible and said there were other options if we felt the deck outside was unsafe for him. The yurt was beautiful and the hot tub lovely - it had been prepared for us ahead of our arrival so we were able to get in straight away! Breakfast was huge and delicious and you can cook it on the wood burner in your yurt. We would highly recommend staying here and we do hope to go back one day!

Yurt with lake views within 20acres

AndreaRating, 5 stars37 months ago
A delightful, quirky rural escape with plenty of Somerset’s attractions on your doorstep. A few suggestions for your stay: Embrace being woken at dawn by the birdsong. (Or bring an eye mask and ear plugs). The day’s sun will keep the yurt toastie, but you’ll probably need the fire of the evening. My escapes don’t involve me cooking, but if you want to, you may need a few extras eg forks, chopping board, seasonings and enough imagination to work your magic with a two-ring gas burner and a kettle. There’s plenty of nearby pubs, we enjoyed the Oakhill Inn. There’s a little bit of a walk/dash to the facilities block, I’d suggest a dressing gown and an umbrella. And finally, no need to worry about bad weather; we survived an incredible thunderstorm and lightning and everything was good. In all a lovely alternative stay, we adored the location and the work that’s gone in to making this an environmentally-friendly wildlife spot.

Romantic Retreat for two with Hot Tub in Somerset

KathandMortRating, 5 stars6 months ago
On arrival we were met by Sharon who kindly helped us to the Yurt on the golf buggy. The Yurt was beautiful and exactly how it was listed on the booking. The hot tub was fantastic and the shower room was lovely and warm and immaculate. The whole atmosphere was friendly, the owner Mark was fantastic and always happy to help. We ate at a local pub recommended to us which was delightful. Thank you all for your hospitality and the Christmas tree on checking out. We will definitely stay again.

Stargazing yurt Mountain views Hay-on-Wye

Ceri-AnneRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Wow we think we have found our new favorite place. Truly was a little piece of heaven. Easy to find, short walk from car to yurt. Yurt was just gorgeous and sited so well for some great views. Shower/loo was ideal as well as the great little kitchen area. It was lovely being sat by fire pit at night, listening to owls fly about. The inside of yurt and bed was super cosy. Honestly we did not want to leave.

Oakhill Ponds – Walled Garden: yurt, tub & sauna

AngelaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Words from the youngest-"Insanity great! The gardens are so beautiful. The shower was godly—the person who built it deserves a golden trophy." Our yurt stay was magical—peaceful sky views from bed, cosy warmth, and thoughtful design. My son adored the comfy bed and soft rug, and the wood burner made evenings perfect. The shower- Majestic.Heavenly.Divine. The outdoor kitchen kept family time going through dinner prep—fully equipped and easy to use, luxurious. The record player was a sweet touch (bringing records next time!). We barely needed our supplies—towels, robes, coffee, air fryer, hot plate, and every pot and pan were provided. The wild swimming lake was clean and clear, with soft water and tadpoles resting in the shallows. A swing on a giant oak, deer wandering the land—it felt like a fairytale. Amanda and Rob were kind, relaxed, and attentive, with a strong sense of care and safety. Our son was totally at ease—he thrived in the calm. This place is magic. We’ll be back.
