I needed a quiet place in the wood to spend a few days contemplating and thinking. This gorgeous, peaceful place was absolutely perfect. I spent each day in the shade of the solarium, reading, writing in my journal, watching the dragonflies dance their aerial ballet. I spent each evening eating toasted marshmallows by a small bonfire all to myself. I settled for the night with the chalet's windows open, letting in the cool night breeze. I cooked on the barbecue. The drinking water taps and tanks were at easy reach (the owners' well water is delicious!), and the outhouse was clean and comfortable. It all made for an experience as nice and quiet and fun as camping, but without the drudgery and rough sleep. I will come back.

Our 4 party group had an amazing getaway at this charming cottage. The space was super cosy, with a central open space and large windows that offered direct views of the lake— so wonderful to wake up to. We also enjoyed the book collection and interesting art. Just a quick tip for future guests: if you're visiting in winter, make sure you have a 4WD vehicle—the last slope can be quite steep. Despite the host living on the first level, it felt super intimate. We were grateful for his quick responses and consideration of our requirements throughout our stay. All in all, we had an incredible time at this chalet and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat! Thanks Karl

From the time I walked into her place. I felt at home. I wanted to get away and relaxed and unwind and need some grounding. There is a beautiful kitchen to cook in. Living room was one of favourite place to be. Curl up with a blanket and watch movies. Hot tub was amazing in the evening under the stars. Slept well, I will definitely be back. Thank You Michèle for sharing your home.
