Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Monteagle

Aaron and Jessica were fantastic hosts all the way around. The property is fabulous, the furniture is comfortable, the front porch is nice to sit on and the fire pit area is beautiful. Aaron gave us a few good ideas for extended hikes, which some of our family members did and thoroughly enjoyed. We did some hiking and swimming. An absolute must is checking out the coffee shop Highway 56 in Altamont.

Had an awesome stay - views were awesome and the area was peaceful. It was close to great hiking spots and The Caverns, making for a fun-filled and relaxing weekend with family.

This is a lovely, peaceful place. Our group was two adult couples. We had a couple of birders and they were excited about the visit. We all enjoyed being close to Sewanee, local restaurants, and Mooney's Emporium.

Thank you so much to Emily. We had a great week, a delightfully comfortable stay, quiet and safe surroundings. We felt right at home. Emily even went out of the way to order a coffee grinder before we arrived.

Lookout Mountain Birdhouse is a new property, so everything is shiny and clean. While just off the road, it's very private. It's ~30 minutes to Chattanooga proper, but that worked OK for us. Lacy is a true gem of a host and great to work with. She promptly answered any questions we had and stayed in touch. The good and the bad: the tall, west-facing windows make for a bright house and a beautiful view, but the windows in the living area have no shades, which can render that area almost unusable in the late afternoon on a clear day. That said, we would definitely stay there again. We particularly enjoyed the Sunset Rock via Craven's House Trail, and the Montague Sculpture Garden in Chattanooga. The tour of Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery was fun, too.

Chris and Kelly’s home was a great place for my family and I to rest after a long hike on the Fiery Gizzard. It was clean, comfortable and had enough beds for all of us. Chris and Kelly communicated clearly and we didn’t have any issues. We had rain, so were unable to enjoy the lake access, but that would be a great perk of the rental!

This place was very roomy and well equipped. It had plenty of linens and towels. If the kitchen don't have it, you don't need it. Dining table is large and has plenty of room to walk around and don't feel crowded. Living room couch was comfy and provided a lot of seating. This place is VERY family oriented.

The property was as described, hosts were very communicative and the on site caretakers were very kind. Was very cool to watch the hangliders so close to the property

Chris and Mel's place was fantastic~clean, great layout, comfortable and so many nice touches, from the basket of local treats to the record player and selection of records~they thought of everything! We enjoyed the lovely space in the morning before venturing out and after our days of exploring Chatt and Nashville. Highly recommend!

A very peaceful place to stay! Very close to things I enjoy doing - hiking, learning about the area. The guest house was very clean and I felt at home with the comfortable furniture and bed. The four-leggeds, Ginger and Belle, came to visit every day which was treat for me. I highly recommend this guest house and Tammy and Jo as hosts.

Excellent! Beautiful, quiet stay at the base of Lookout Mountain in historic St. Elmo. Walkable to local food, the Incline, and just 15 minutes from sweeping vistas at Point Park and other iconic Chattanooga overlooks. Clean, well-kept, and private with dedicated parking. Note: Greg will meet you on arrival and provide some orientation to the area and the airbnb. If you have heat sensitivities, be aware that the AC may have a cooling limit set.

My husband and I came up to Chattanooga to spend time with my daughter and son-in-law as well as to see a comedians show. The Airbnb was in lovely surroundings and very peaceful. It felt like we were out in the peaceful woods even though we were minutes away from downtown, the arena where Nate Bargatze performed and multiple restaurants. It is one bedroom and not incredibly spacious but has beautiful outdoor space and is perfect for a private retreat or a quiet getaway. Bonnie was friendly and easily accessible.

From the moment we entered with our 4 grandsons, we felt like we were on the movie set of an Indiana Jones movie. Such fun finding the hidden rooms and looking at all the artifacts that were placed throughout. Kristi was a wonderful host, answered all our questions and was very friendly & pleasant. It was a surprise for our 4 grandsons for our Camp Grand & the boys kept saying it was their favorite.

We frequently visit family in Chattanooga and this is our 2nd time staying (not only in St Elmo area, but in this complex. Condo is super easy to access, provides all the amenities one could desire and in a walkable area with great activities and restaurants. What we value the most is how safe we feel when staying at this location! Thanks Emile, for offering up your home and being such a great host. We will definitely look to stay here again. Gary's place was excellent! It was just what we needed after wedding activities at Gardens of the Gorge. This place is very quiet at night and a great place to unwind. The view from the balcony is so nice and was a welcomed sight each morning. Thank you again!

Sarah and Brandon's place was great for our family of four. There was plenty of space for us. It is in a convenient location to get to the aquarium and restaurants, and was easy to navigate to from the interstate. Our kids enjoyed the pool and appreciated the provided pool towels. It was just right for our visit to Chattanooga, we'll book again when we're back.

Beautiful place to stay, very quiet and peaceful, everything was as described, loved that it had everything we needed, the games and toys were a hit with my granddaughter, I love that it was so clean, and there is lots do within walking distance, will definitely stay here again!!

What a wonderful location right next to all the things we wanted to do and see. We walked most days to our destinations and others were just a short drive. I’m so thankful for the noise machine in the room to help us sleep since we were right in town. The access to the condo used impressive technology and it worked every time I used it. There is a bicycle rental station at the park right down the street. The aquarium and other fun downtown spots are a quick walk away. Ruby falls is a quick drive. We had so many wonderful experiences from this location. The condo had everything we needed inside.

It was my first time in Chattanooga and this was the perfect place to stay! We visited for a few days during the week and Katie’s place was absolutely perfect for our needs. Clean, wonderful bathroom and kitchen, great location that was just down the road from a beautiful coffee shop and walkable to so many things. Her thorough instructions and house guidebook / manual were greatly appreciated. The space itself is clean, beautiful, cozy and modern. We felt right at home. I would absolutely recommend Katie’s space, thanks for everything!

We absolutely loved our stay! Perfect for a weekend getaway. We were within 20 minutes max from different attractions. I think some of the reviews mentioned noise from the traffic but that did not bother us at all! Yes, you can hear it but it wasn’t too loud that we couldn’t sleep. Would definitely recommend!!

We enjoyed our stay here. It was close to everything we wanted to do and a short 10-15 minute drive to the caves, aquarium and other attractions in the area. Davey was very quick to respond to any questions we had.
