Cabin holiday rentals in Monteverde

This Airbnb was a gem, tucked away in the beautiful mountains. Absolutely stunning, extremely clean, very accommodating, and overall a fantastic experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We would recommend this Airbnb to anyone staying in Monteverde. Close enough to town, yet feels like there is no one around for miles. The road to get there was insane, but all of the roads in Costa Rica seem to be that way! 4x4 recommended 100%. Monkey’s made a visit, right on our deck and toucans were flying around. Super cool. Will visit again someday!!!

Ariel was extremely helpful with helping locate the property. The home was just what we expected, gorgeous, clean and in very close proximity to the town. The home didn’t have any views as it is in the middle of a neighborhood, and from the listing photos, it may seem that way. Our favorite part of the stay was the sweet kitty on the property. We went deep sea fishing the day prior, so feeding him fresh tuna was truly the highlight of our stay. 10/10- highly recommend!

We had a family of four and stayed in Monteverde for 2 nights here. The airbnb was easy to find with the clear instructions from the host and place was very clean. It is just a few minutes drive from all the restaurants and shops and next to a night tour as well. The kitchen was well furbished and we were able to cook a meal and drink some wine in the comfort of the airbnb. The host was very responsive and had great suggestions and also offered to book tours for us. We would definitely come back!

I’m already missing this spot. Love the view into the rainforest. We saw lots of toucans, hummingbirds, fireflies, butterflies and more. We were even woken up our last morning by howler monkeys - didn’t see them, but we could hear them. Would 100% stay here again.

The place is a little scary to get to. Youre on top of a cliff/ hill. It makes sense given the view. Youre definitely paying for the view. It's breath taking. Jacuzzi never really got hot for me but he did warn me that he had just turned on prior to my arrival. I only stayed 1 night. The roof is a typical metal costa rican roof so when it rained it was loud but it put me right to sleep. I accidentally let critters (butterflies and moths) into the house as the sliding door was left open but there were no bugs prior to that. Bed was comfy and the shower pressure was nice and hot. Would recommended.

A very pleasant and cozy stay, everything impeccable, excellent service from José. It is located in a strategic point, to rest and visit the different parks and magical places of this area.

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin in Monteverde. Alexander, the host, was incredibly responsive, helpful, and understanding, making me feel right at home. The cabin was spotless, and the seclusion made it feel like a peaceful retreat. The home was pristine, and the surroundings were just breathtaking. The sunsets and sunrises were absolutely stunning, and we couldn't have asked for a better environment to relax and unwind. I can't rave about this place enough. Highly recommended!

At the beginning we arrived at night and honestly I kind of freaked out because it was in the middle of the forest completely dark but in the morning when I waked up everything looked so pretty, we had the chance to see an armadillo, rabbits and a lot of beetles. The chalet was really clean and cozy. If you have the chance to stay there for a night do it you will love the sunset from the bedroom.

If you are like me, always looking for views and sunsets don’t think twice! This comfortable little mountain home has by far the best views we have found so far in Monteverde. We usually head out at sunset time looking for a good spot but this stay we spent every evening watching the spectacular and ever changing panorama from our own front porch. Super comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Would like to add Waze will get you to the lower gate (search Casa del sol, Unnamed road). Just continue on the unpaved road and you will get there! Village is called Altos de Cebadilla.

We recommend Ernesto wholeheartedly. He was extremely helpful and and speaks excellent English. La Fortuna is wonderful but very noisy (mopeds) so we really enjoyed the calmness in Ernestos place. You literrally live in the jungle and watch colibris and agutis directly in Front of the house. Bananas grow accross the Streit. you must try this - a unique experience. I never slept better!

So beautiful! We could hear the sounds of the forest during the night and saw lots of animals while lounging on the balcony. Remember to bring a photo of the place you rent as there are a few on the property and we had to check AirBnb to figure out which one was ours. Cute little treehouse, perfect relaxation!

Great spot in Monteverde. It’s only a few minutes from the town center but the house is 100m/yards off the road so it is still nice and quiet. Perfect for couples, close to amenities and activities, private, and has a very homey feel. If you’re debating between this place and a few others, just book this place.

Edith was a wonderful host and was very welcoming. We enjoyed visiting with her! Her animals and family were sweet too. We walked into town at least twice a day from Airbnb, you don’t have to worry about finding a parking spot as you leave you car secure inside the gated yard. We would definitely stay here again as we want to explore this area more.

We enjoy every second of our stay at Casa Cielo. We feel at home! We loved the bathtub watching the stars, the hammock on the balcony at sunset, the trails around the house, the privacy and every special detail of the house. We will definitely be back.

The cabin is a true dream, located in a very quiet environment, surrounded by nature and with abundant birds. From the terrace you can see the sea in the distance with beautiful sunsets. It is the ideal place to disconnect and reconnect with nature. In addition, it is equipped with everything you need to enjoy a comfortable stay in Monteverde. As a bonus, the neighbor gave us fresh milk for our morning coffee. It exceeded my expectations... I promise to return one day!

Mariliana’s place was one of the most beautiful homes I’ve stayed in, ever! The views when you step inside the property are breathtaking and the house is pristine - beautifully furnished, well kept, and well stocked. Look out for lots of amazing birds including beautiful toucans and impressive birds of prey flying around outside. Mariliana was a fantastic host and super accommodating to our needs. Would recommend to anyone staying in Monteverde looking for a little slice of paradise.

Had a great stay here! The roads a little rough getting here so I recommend arriving during the day . The tree house was very beautiful and had a nice view of the valley.

Family of 5 traveling (3 kids). This place is absolutly amazing. The view, the food and the hosts (Susanne and Javier) makes this Airbnb one of the best places I've been to.

Christina is an amazing host! She is always responsive, and knows the area very well. The breakfasts were amazing and comprehensive. Being able to walk to dinner at Selina was great as well as Monteverde. Walking to an art gallery and family-fun cafetal (coffee farm), albeit down the mountain, was challenging yet awesome. Pura Vida!

I would 100% stay here again. Andrea's place is better than it looks in the photos - it's spacious, clean, peaceful, and has a gorgeous view. It's tucked away in some rural mountain roads which makes it a bit challenging to get to, but it's totally worth it. Andrea herself is an angel. I made a silly travel mistake and reached out to Andrea for help - she went above and beyond to make me feel supported! I will remember her kindness and this little slice of heaven forever.

Very beautiful place to stay, they are very accommodating and are willing to help you with anything you need. Make sure you take the tour through them because you will learn so much more about the forest than on your own. There’s a lot of beautiful birds outside right there, like parrots and hummingbirds and fireflies in the bushes at night. It’s close to everything and the road is not too bad, Just drive slow.
