Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Monteverde

This place was absolutely perfect for what we needed for our family of 4. Our boys are teenagers and were fine sleeping in the room separate from the house. Everything was as expected and communication was great. Views were gorgeous as described. One of our most favorite stays in Costa Rica.

Close to many attractions. Walkable to town but very dark and hilly, but with adult children this was very doable. Town was cute w many souvenir shops, coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants. House very comfortable and spacious.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Having Curi Cancha right next door was amazing. Beautiful landscape and a wonderful home that felt cozy and warm.

What a gem above the clouds of Monteverde! Tobi and his family have created an amazing place to getaway and enjoy the mountains. There was so much wildlife and the accommodations were super comfortable and quiet. Tobi’s family’s restaurant is “Stella’s” (just down the mountain) and it is awesome as well. Tobi had excellent recommendations and connections. He is super helpful and friendly. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Next time…!

Johanna’s place a 10/10. Johanna was extremely communicative from the very beginning and helpful booking local tours. She helped us book a number of tours and they turned out amazing. The place itself is perfect for families and multiple people with plenty of room and it is right in nature. It’s beautiful and private, yet close to downtown Monteverde so that you can walk to where you would like to go. We would recommend her place to anyone looking for some privacy but close to all the activities!

The house is beautiful, very large and has everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathrooms are very nice with lots of light and the terrace is also beautiful, with a view directly into the forest. Heather is a great host and gave us lots of tips for the area, communication was flawless. The location of the house is great, it's super close to all the activities of Monteverde. You should know that it is possible to encounter some insects (sometimes in the house) due to the proximity to the forest. If that doesn't bother you, this is the place to be!

Stunning sunsets, incredible views, and fantastic house. We saw so many birds while sipping coffee on the porch. Rïse was kind and really helpful. We would absolutely stay here again.

Andrea is THE Best host I have ever had! She was always quick to respond with helpful and great recommendations. Her place was very comfortable for my family of 4 very close to everything Monteverde has to offer.

Yesenia and her son are wonderful hosts. We were warmly greeted by her son upon arrival and immediately felt welcome. The accommodation corresponded exactly to the photos and the description – everything was very clean and well maintained. For a short stay, everything necessary was available. The location is a bit outside the center, but pleasantly quiet. Everything was easily accessible with your own car. We felt very comfortable and can definitely recommend the accommodation.

The apartment was exceptional! We simply loved our stay! It was extremely clean and I loved their attention to detail (earplugs, several comforters, games to pass the time, small personal message at the entrance, etc.). Their bed is now one of my top 3 most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! In addition, the hosts were very communicative and made good suggestions. They also responded very quickly to communications. In short, we definitely recommend the apartment!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The balcony is the true highlight—perfect for watching wildlife. We spotted 54 bird species on the property, including the charismatic Three-wattled Bellbird, watched a troop of nine monkeys, and even saw a compost-diving coati—all from the comfort of the balcony. The hosts were fantastic at communicating, and the lodging was clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. All the amenities and equipment worked perfectly, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals for a week. There’s also a small grocery and bakery conveniently located across the street. The location is excellent—within a 10-minute walk you’ll find Curi Cancha Reserve, Bajo del Tigre, the Monteverde Waterfall, and the Crandall Reserve, which is accessible directly from the property. There is some occasional road noise from motorcycles and milk trucks, but the incredible wildlife and comfort more than make up for it. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a front-row seat

This is a pleasant and comfortable place to stay. The location feels very secure and is convenient to several restaurants, a bakery that offers breakfast, beautiful hiking trails and permaculture garden at Valle Escondido, and the Monteverde Stones showroom as well as some art shops. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and utensils for food preparation. The bed was comfortable and had a nice view outside to banana trees. The front porch area was pleasant for sitting outside under a roof and I saw motmots and parrots fly past. I appreciated that the couch also flattens into a futon, which made the living room a pleasant option to stretch out. Check in and out was very simple and easy with good directions. The only negatives were a bit of noise from upstairs neighbors and the property behind the unit (a generator). If you're visiting in the rainy season it's also a good idea to put all groceries in the fridge as ants can get into open food containers.

Where can I start....This is my first time to La Fortuna and we had a great vacation with the help of Gregory. Gregory's is a great host and his property is one of a kind which suits well for La Fortuna environment with lot of nature to enjoy inside his property. He helped in almost everything including recommending a nice Chef Gabriel.

Liked the place I would definitely go back

It is a very nice condominium and fits a family of 5 to 6 people very well equipped and all functional. Very comfortable beds and each room with its own bathroom. We will definitely be back at any time. Thank you for your hospitality.

My elderly mom and I were totally amazed by this cabin. Everything was so clean and spacious. We found everything to make ourselves comfortable at the right place. Swan towels decoration on the bed and also at the kitchen as flowers looked awesome. Definitely it looks like the infrastructure, bed sheets and everything is been taking care of. I loved it.

We had a wonderful stay at Sol y Luna in La Fortuna. The accommodations are charming just as pictured and we were happy to have this little oasis to come back to every night. We were contacted by Susana to have a new stove installed one morning, unfortunately the timing didn't work for us. The hosts respected our privacy and I presume the stove was installed after we checked out. Thank you for sharing a little piece of paradise with us.

Room with a balcony overlooking the mountains and the Nivoya peninsula in the distance, breathtaking! The balcony and bedroom are spacious and well maintained! The beds are cozy! The common room, well equipped, is welcoming and a harmonious and spiritual atmosphere is present! High-end, well-maintained hot pool and bath! In monteverde, the hot bath was served, against all expectations one evening at 15 degree Celcius!
