Located in the Palacio Salvo, in one of its four towers! View of the entire city, from the hill and bay of Montevideo, to the lighthouse of Punta Carretas. Located in the city center, opposite the government house It is designed to feel at home, functional and comfortable. It is a very special place in an emblematic building in the city.
“This building is a beautiful piece of architecture of significant historical importance. The apartment is as seen in the pictures but it was even larger than expected. It has a full modern kitchen and bath with a large dining room and living room. the spiral stair case leads to a loft above the living room. My favorite feature was the two very large balconies on either side of the dinning room. One has an ocean view and the other a harbor. It is on Independence Plaza where the President of Uruguay's offices are located and a traditional guard can be viewed at the entrance. We entered with a keyless entry pad and Miriam was kind enough to leave us coffee, tea and the stocked the refrigerator with bottled water and assorted fruits. The wifi worked well for streaming, email... and the air conditioning was great but was only needed one or two times because the sea breeze coming through the 2 balcony doors was perfect. It is in the heart of the historical district with countless cafes and restaurants steps away. The water front promenade (Rambla) was only several blocks away and beaches were nearby. We also rented a car and took several day trips to several great vineyards as well as several overnight trips to near by Colonia and Punta del este. Miriam contacted us several times and asked if we needed anything and made herself available throughout our 5 week stay. She offered suggestions on places to visit (Garzon Vineyard was beautiful). TIPS: Shannon Bar live music nightly (classic rock is alive and well here), ATM in the Presidential Building cheapest fees.(found it on week 5 of course).”
Warm, bright and excellent location describe this apartment. It is located on an 8 floor, with a clear and sunny view. The building has 2 elevators and goal. It has a full kitchen, smart tv, wifi and washing machine. It is located in front of Parque Rodó and meters from the beach. The area has transportation to all areas of Montevideo, as well as a varied gastronomic offer and tourist attractions. It is close to the main university centers of Montevideo.
“The location is excellent, in front of one of the most beautiful parks in Montevideo, very close to the beach and several tourist destinations within walking distance. The apartment was very clean, and had everything necessary. Álvaro was very hospitable, he made entering and leaving very easy. The only thing to keep in mind is that it is next to a bowling alley and at night there can be a lot of noise, but the apartment has double glass which greatly reduces noise.”
“José's place in Centro/Tres Cruces area is well designed, functional and extremely well maintained. I needed a small apartment/studio for my mother to rest well while my father was hospitalized in the area, and I can say José's apartment was way above my expectations. Special mentioin for José's hospitality and ease of communication. He was there for me from the moment I made the reservation, and when I explained the situation with my mother he made sure I had everything I needed. Every time I wrote him to extend the reservation because my mother loved the place, he replied kindly and effectively. There's a reason why José is a superhost. A true 5 star, and I would reccomend it to anyone, specially for those who come from abroad with high expectations and standards.”
