We are in the historic center. Independent house, with spectacular panoramic view (about 90 steps to get there, typical in Modica), bright and furnished with care. Terrace, living room with sofa, open kitchen and dining table. Two bedrooms, one with a large bed (tatami with futon) and a wonderful view, the other smaller (tatami with futon) and a tall window. Two bathrooms with spacious showers. Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, laundry. Close to cafes, restaurants, market, grocery stores.

Delightful Studio with a View

A stunning view on the duomo, St. Giorgio, the most beautiful and famous church in Modica. The apartment is located in one of the rare streets of Modica which you can reach without climbing stairs despite being in a wonderful position. It is possible to drive directly to the apartment - with a small car - and park in the courtyard. But, since the streets are very narrow and bi-directional we strongly suggest parking on the main road that is nearby - about 100 meters away.

Beautiful place to be, ideally located, just a few stairs away from the middle of Modica, with some limitations on the view from the property. All fine from our perspective. We enjoyed our stay very much. Modica is a good starting point for journeys to Noto valley and a little quieter than Noto or Ragusa.

The apartment is nicely renovated, neatly decorated and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need, the mattress was new and rests very well in it. Quiet neighborhood, nice and close to everything. In the time when we visited (Mayo) it was easy to park in the blue area of Corso Umberto I. Centrally located to visit Modica and the whole valley of Noto (which we did until we reached Syracuse and the beaches). Great apartment and city, Giorgio very friendly. We hope to return.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful & quiet spot in Noto, Sicily. The location offers stunning views & a true sense of escape, perfect for unwinding. Roberto, the host, was incredibly responsive & welcoming, making everything feel easy from the moment we booked. A special mention goes to Lucky, the friendly caretaker, & his lovely dog Blanko, who quickly became a highlight of our stay. We loved having little visits from Blanko. While the property feels wonderfully remote, I’d definitely recommend hiring a car to explore the area. It’s a great base for visiting the beautiful town of Noto & the stunning seaside village of Marzamemi. All in all, a peaceful stay & highly recommended.

Really good and pro-active contact with the host. He also provides you with a printed out recommendation list of restaurants etc. Nice big villa in a peaceful and quiet environment, and a very nice big garden. Loved to have breakfast in the garden. The house is really big and it breathes 'warmth' and 'character'. At the same time it is also really clean and neat. We stayed 4 nights with a child of 1.5 years and nothing to complain about. Location: as I said before, peaceful and quiet, while at the same time close to Scicli, Modica and Ragusa. Maybe the only 'complain' is that it looks much better than on the pictures :) Loved it!

My partner and I stayed at this facility for a week. We have explored Ragusa and Syracuse, territories where there is literally plenty of choice for 'what to do'. That's to say that every day, when we came back very tired but happy, we were absolutely sure we could recharge and refresh at Casa Papanno! We really felt at home, totally comfortable: the accommodation is located in the evocative and quiet Modican countryside and has everything you need to be able to live comfortably, it is very clean and well organized. There is a wonderful garden where you can relax, in particular we really appreciated the pool! Last but not least, I would like to point out the extreme kindness of the host, prompt and full of helpful suggestions. I mean, we hope to be back soon!
