As a base for sightseeing in Azumino and Hakuba/Kamikochi, you can enjoy a comfortable stay for one night or more. With easy access to Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama Kurobe, it is suitable for group trips, family vacations, and long-term stays.With a washing machine and a bathroom dryer, it is comfortable for extended stays. You can also come by public transportation, but it is more convenient if you have a car. Free shuttle service is available to and from Shinano-Matsukawa Station and Akashina Station.Other pick-up and drop-off services, as well as sightseeing transfers, are available for 2,000 to 8,000 yen (round trip) depending on the distance, provided the journey is within 2 hours each way.Please contact us in advance for car rental for 5 or more people. This is Iizuna Kogen, a quiet villa area at an altitude of about 1000 meters. A simple log house built in 2022 with a strong aroma of wood. You can find lots of beautiful scenery within a 10-minute walk. Please don't miss the view of Mt. Iizuna from Lake Daiza-Hoshi. About 3 minutes on foot from the nearest bus stop (Iizuna Higashi-ku)! The next closest bus stop (Iizuna Kogen) is about a 7-minute walk away. You can also come by public transportation. Restaurants such as Mori no Eki, Iizuna Soba, ramen, and hamburgers are also within walking distance. About 25 minutes by car from Nagano Station and Zenkoji Temple. Togakushi Shrine is about a 15-minute drive away. It is also great as a base for golf and skiing in the Togakushi, Kurohime, and Myoko areas. Please also use it for climbing the Togakushi Kodo, Amatomi Trail, and Mt. Iizuna. If you'd like to visit a hot spring, Tengunokan on Lake Reisenji is about a 15-minute drive away. This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example. It is less than 5 minutes walk (or 1 min drive) to some cafes and restaurants and the new Nagano Forest Village. There, you can buy local produce, craft beers & wine, and walk around the beautiful area. We recommend driving to explore more around the highlands and snow tires (or chains) are a must have during winter. We are 1080m above sea level, its cool in summer!
