Such a beautiful home, very spacious with beautiful views. It had everything required in the kitchen to prepare meals. Such a peaceful place, ideal for relaxation. Sandra was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I will in the future go back as i really enjoyed the tranquility of the home. Katie

Cottage by the river

We were a group of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mariah & Alexander’s place! They were also kind enough to give us a ride to the train station which is not too far- thanks for the stay and we reccomend it to anyone looking for a weekend getaway👏

Close to nature, cozy cottage in southern Dalarna.

LouiseRating, 5 stars9 months ago
One of the best places we have stayed. Such a magical cottage, the whole family loved it. Very homely and gorgeous inside and out in the forest garden. Yes the shower was rather cold but stunning to be showering in a forest. We made lingonberry jam and a bilberry cake from the berries in the garden. The kids loved using the berry harvesters! We had fun renting canoes at the nearby campsite on the lake though recommend to other guests that they are very careful of the wind. It was stronger on the other side and we had to get picked up by motor boat to get back. We also had fun going to various trails that we drove to. Lovely trip!

Live in the guest house at Getgården in Djupvik! Sjötomt!

SarahRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Our vacation with Wilfried was incredibly beautiful. He is a great host and very friendly. His cafe offers great cakes and other dishes, highly recommend it. Absolutely child-friendly (lots of play opportunities for the dwarves), the sheep and goats were a real highlight for the kids. The entire property overlooking the lake was just beautiful. You can borrow a boat or bike, shopping and great swimming opportunities were nearby. The house was cozy and well equipped. We will be happy to come back!

House in lake bay

JiříRating, 5 stars8 months ago
My stay at Robin's house was as expected. The house is old and the furniture, kitchen and bathroom are a bit worn and used. It is clean though, which I think is the most important thing! There is air conditioning, electric radiators and if you want you can light a fire in the fireplace which is very nice. You can also relax and put your feet up in the red chair which is really cool! The whole house is nice and it was a pleasant experience for me to stay in a typical Nordic-style house and relax after a hard day's work. Robin was nice and came on the 2nd day after arrival to ask if everything was ok. We had a nice chat. The only things I had a bit of trouble with later on were the radiators and sockets in the living room not working. I decided otherwise and made a fire in the fireplace, but I'm sure that Robin would have arranged everything for me if I had asked him. I can recommend staying at Robin's place. He's a beekeeper like me, so you can ask him if he'll sell you a jar!

Summer cottage with secluded lakefront location

SamRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Really enjoyed all that the cottage had to offer. The kitchen was well set up and had everything you would need. The outdoor shower was lovely and fun. The mosquitos were really bad, so we had to keep the cottage closed up which made it a bit stuffy. We did use the netting at the front door, but those pesky mosquitos often found their way in. Made it hard to sit outside after dusk too, even with citronella candles going and bug spray applied. Maybe a different time of year, there are less mosquitos? The horses were relocated to another field which was a bit sad. Was looking forward to interacting with them. There was some daily heavy machinery noise carrying across the lake which disrupted the peaceful setting, but that is not the fault of Anna. The lake was nice but we didn’t hang out there as much as I thought we would. Visited Östastrand, which was lovely, as is a local swimming spot, Hällsjöbadet. The nightime sky and stars on a clear night were spectacular!

Large cozy summer cottage in southern Dalarna

EmilRating, 5 stars23 months ago
The place suited us very well as we were several families with toddlers and there was plenty of space in both kitchen and public areas. The kitchen was well equipped and there were a lot of toys that the kids enjoyed in the playroom that are smoothly located directly adjacent to the kitchen. Big garden! The trampoline and the playhouse were very popular with the children. Only thing that was a little cumbersome is the layout. The bedrooms are located so that you have to walk through a bedroom to get to the kitchen and toilet from the bedrooms that are furthest away in the house or walk the outdoor road. In addition to this, it is an optimal accommodation for families with small children and those who want to experience the southern valleys!
