Cottage holiday rentals in Nelson County

What a beautiful home and location! Close to lots of fun places while still being quiet and private. It was so clean and everything we needed for cooking meals and relaxing in the evenings after exploring! Thanks for a wonderful stay! Highly recommend!

What an amazing house! Plenty of living spaces to just hang out and connect with your family and friends. Great kitchen with everything you need. More than enough bedrooms that are very nicely sized. The decor is very clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully planned. We LOVE the yard space with two fire pits. Lastly the hosts made us some homemade sour dough bread that was amazing. Nice touch. Our group was going to downtown Charlottesville to do some activities and the drive was about 30mins, which was just right. This is the best bnb I’ve stayed in, hands down.

Claudia’s place was spotless! Beautiful views right from the property. Loved the Firepit in the backyard. Dogs had a great time too! Great location with lots to do in the surrounding areas, we followed recommendations in the guide book in the Airbnb, everything was fantastic. We visited Bonfire Burgers & Bourbon in Amherst, Mt Pleasant for a hike, and Ankida Vinyards. We had 4 people and 2 dogs and the space was perfect. Highly recommend!

We came into town for a graduation at Liberty University. The house is on a dirt road well off the beaten path (which I love). It was a very beautiful area, very peaceful even with neighbors nearby. We were delighted to find that the host gifted us a 6 pack of Bold Rock Cider, which oddly enough is my favorite cider (I’m gluten free). Everything was clean, with the exception of the inside of the fridge. My kids played their hearts out running around the yard, swinging, roasting marshmallows. My only complaint is the tiny showers, but I’m claustrophobic 😂😂 otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and would stay again!

Our first AirBnB experience with the whole family. Have to say hope other hosts can keep up! 😊 Everything was perfect! House was clean, smelled amazing, view was beautiful and surround area was surreal! 💕

We really enjoyed our stay for our friends bachelorette weekend, we enjoyed the games they had in the closet, we had plenty of space for all 9 girls even with it being only one shower, we made it all work! It was nice having the half bath too! We loved being so close to Blue Mountain Brewery. Thank you for a great weekend!

Very secluded place. Hard to find if you get there while it’s dark, that’s my only complaint - pull the “Welcome” sign closer to the road or clearly mark the drive way. Other than that, great stay, great views, great location, great deal!

The home was beautiful and exactly as described. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and privacy. A highlight was sitting on the deck, drinking coffee, listening to the birds, and watching the bunnies and deer. Our dog loved exploring the yard on a long leash. The location is perfect for exploring everything Nelson County has to offer. Would stay again!

My wife and I came to Roseland to compete in the Devils Backbone BBQ Championship which was held at the brewery. The cottage was only a mile from the brewery. It was so relaxing and peaceful to return to the cottage at the end of the day. The cottage is clean, well equipped with everything you need, and very well maintained. Leslie & Mike say they love their cottage and it’s easy to see that. We would absolutely stay there again!! Steve & Kelly

Stayed here as a single female and felt safe the entire time. The hot tub was the absolute best. I'm already looking forward to my next stay.

We are return guests to Kate's cottage. Cute and cozy with lots of personal touches! Love the complimentary eggs from local chickens. Had a blue egg, brown and tan! Was interesting to see! We enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the covered porch during the rainstorm. The bed and couch are comfy. Kate provides everything you need for a pleasant stay that feels like a home away from home. We love the area. We come for the wineries and vibes.

Absolutely perfect stay! We had a great time at Tyler’s place. The home was spotless, cozy and exactly as described (if not better). The location could not have been better for hiking, brewery and winery visits and the Mountain View’s were beautiful. Check in was easy and Tyler always responded quickly to any questions. Sugah Shack is a sweet spot for base camp as we hiked in Shenandoah National Park. It was very clean, beautifully decorated and the best-equipped place we’ve stayed in. Communication with Carolyn was quick and easy. We enjoyed watching the family of deer who showed up each evening too! We would definitely consider staying here again! This cottage was the perfect fit for our needs. Peaceful, beautiful setting. Well appointed inside. The history of the place adds to its charm. Can’t go wrong with this choice. Hostess was thoughtful.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cozy cottage! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a sweet personal note that made us feel right at home. The location is stunning, and we wish we could have explored the trails, but the weather and our other commitments kept us busy. We stayed the weekend at Steve and Debbie’s cottage. It was clean, spacious and quite comfortable. The location is great to explore the outdoors or just relax inside. The rooms were cozy and the bathrooms pristine. We had the chance to gaze at the fireflies at night. The weather wasn’t perfect during our stay but the cottage was really relaxing.
