Lake house holiday rentals in New Buffalo

Our eldest was 85! Our youngest was 17 months old! Lots of ages in between! Everyone always found something to do! This is a spacious house and very practically furnished! You never feel crowded! I can’t think of a thing we needed in the kitchen! It was equipped with everything! The beach was pristine, with the waves of Lake Michigan, which you could see from the Sun/Game room! The walk down to the beach was so easy, and when you came back up to the house, you felt you had just had your workout for the day! Every time we had a question for the host or co-hosts, we had an immediate answer! If you want an easy, relaxing vacation, give ShangraLa a try!

I rented Leah's home for my son's. They love to fish and Leah's home was the perfect place. They enjoyed the pontoon boat and sitting around the bonfire. The house was clean and kitchen equipped with everything needed for their weekend of grilling. Leah was a perfect host. Thank you, Michelle

What is spectacular view!! One of the best in the southwest Michigan area ! Enjoyed the kayaks that were provided for a peaceful tour of the lake. The fire pit was excellent to enjoy a gorgeous sunset along the lake ! Don’t pass up your opportunity to stay here !!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house for my nephews wedding at Marion Magnolia farms. Amy’s home is spotless and all finishes very high end. Every detail was well thought out. She even had a steamer - perfect for wedding attire! The bedding was also high end with cotton sheets on all beds (which is not typical of airbnbs. ). There was plenty of space for our family of 7 to be comfortable. The views were amazing and the boat and kayaks so much fun. Amy was great to work with throughout the process. We would definitely love to return to this special home.

Had a wonderful time staying at Dunetop Escape! The owners were very nice and responsive. Very knowledgeable about the area and made some awesome recommendations. The house was spotless and very accommodating. The house has a lot of usable space and even more sleeping areas! Loved that they made beach days so easy as they had everything you may ever need. Will absolutely be looking to book this location again and look forward to exploring more of Michigan City.

House had everything we needed for our family to gather and feel at home. Having firewood readily available for campfires was great. We made some great family memories this past weekend!

This property is in a secluded nook, surrounded by nature. It was nearby the National Park and amenities (restaurants, grocery). Home was spacious and clean. Everything in the kitchen in working order. Host was responsive (though we had no issues during our stay). Would certainly stay here again if returning to the Dunes!

Great place! Short walk to the lake (though you do have to walk along and cross a road where cars can go fast). I loved the large open kitchen and living area. Having a fire pit and fireplaces was great.

Plenty of bedrooms, good open living space with nice kitchen. Pool was great (and warm) and nice to watch the sunset from the small private beach. Oh, and so many towels and I think we used nearly all of them 😂 a very thoughtful touch. Highly recommended to large families

We had a wonderful time at Mary’s property. Top notch amenities, beautiful and private location, and a seamless experience communicating with Mary prior to our arrival. We would absolutely recommend this listing, and hope to return for future getaways!

Vincent's place was exactly as described and had everything we needed. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with extras like games. The beds were great, with plenty of spare blankets and towels. Vincent was an excellent host, providing clear communication about the Wi-Fi, keypad, and local tips. Three Oaks is a charming town with a lovely downtown full of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed meals at Patellie’s (pizza and sandwiches), Featherbone (dinner variety), and Oaks Eatery (brunch). Though the freezing weather (20s and snowing) had us driving, everything is within walking distance in better weather. The beautifully restored home was cozy, and while the fire pit looked inviting, it was too cold to use. As a fun bonus, we discovered Three Oaks is the filming location for "Prancer". Watching the movie and spotting familiar places added to the experience. Meeting our kids here for Thanksgiving was wonderful, and we’d love to return!

We had a fabulous weekend at Karen's cottage. It was quiet, cozy, and the perfect getaway from the city noise. Her thoughtfully curated home felt like stepping into a quaint 70's oasis. The home backs up to a heavily wooded area and our pup could not get enough!

Refreshing! Our stay was just what we needed. Clean, comfortable and well laid out. The communication was excellent and the customer service was attentive.

Great place for a weekend with the boys or combined family trip with kids.

What a wonderful stay! Our hosts were so thoughtful. This was the first time at an Air B&B where there were so many details… a well stocked spice cabinet (no really, like, real spices! So many places have a bare bones basic kit) phone chargers available at the night stands, a note waiting to welcome us… hosts were so kind and responsive. I loved the record player and selection, loads of cookware and all around peaceful setting. Waking up to the view of trees and so much natural light was lovely. There was a train that came by occasionally but it was not disruptive. You should definitely visit— especially if you are looking for less crowded beaches and a day trip to Chicago… or a quiet retreat.

Brent's place is really nice as described. very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. the home itself is cozy, clean and well decorated. the treehouse is good but not warm enough for cold months. finally the wifi is good in the house but no signal on basement bedrooms. All in all we had a wonderful time in Michiana and we will look to back again in summer months.

An incredible home in the most peaceful setting. This was our first family trip with our infant son, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. The house had everything we needed, and was very spacious. Anything else we needed was less than a 15 minute drive away, and had beautiful scenery on the drives!

I cannot say enough good things about Pete’s place. It was so beautiful, so cozy, and so incredibly well-kept. I had a group of 10 girls here for a bachelorette and we all agreed that we’ll be coming back to Pete’s place, whether it be as friends or with our families. We made some incredible memories here and I can’t wait to return! Also, the neighbors are extremely friendly and the walk to the beach was simple. The surrounding area is great for morning walks, and the local coffee shops and restaurants are phenomenal. Pete, thank you for opening your home to us!

We stayed for a few days with extended family with young kids. The house was very family friendly with toys, baby gates for stairs, a high chair etc. There is a great playground for kids that's a short walk. The neighbor is very nice and scenic and the beach is also within walking distance. We had a great time and would definitely recommend to anyone with kids.
