Cottage holiday rentals in New England

This was a great getaway! It was the perfect size house for the three of us. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped (especially compared to other places I’ve stayed). Emmy was responsive and available. I wish we could have stayed here longer!

The Artist Cottage was a great secluded retreat. We loved how charming and cute the place looked. The colorful decor and charming antiques in the cottage made it feel special. The amenities were well taken-care of and we especially loved the hot tub, the outdoor fireplace, the spacious lodge, and the large, modern soaking tub. We enjoyed hanging out in backyard, where we could listen to numerous birds while sitting by a little waterfall in the morning. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. It was just a short walk from some nice hiking trails and we loved that it was only a short drive to town. Overall, we highly recommend this stay!

Queen bed was comfortable! Shower was nice. Quiet location. Carl communicated well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. It was so very peaceful and we loved being literally right around n the water! Slept amazingly well and the cottage was just lovely! Robert was also a great host. 5 stars all around and we hope to return again!

I went here on a peaceful getaway with my partner for my birthday , and it was better than anything I could've imagined. exactly what we needed and even more beautiful in person than in the pictures! We had multiple questions for Feyza and she always answered very promptly. was such a clean spacious and peaceful getaway. couldn't have asked for more 😭

Cassie and Dave were amazing hosts and their place was even better than the pictures. We loved the kayaks and the hot tub and the peacefulness and solitude of the lake. The cottage was stocked very well with lots of extra touches and snacks. They responded immediately to any questions we had and were super friendly and welcoming. We would love to come back!

Danny and Travis are excellent hosts ! The house is gorgeous and extremely clean and well maintained. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking utensils/ pots which is awesome for people who enjoy cooking (like we do). This is our second time staying here and we absolutely love it and plan to return.

It’s a lovely cabin, the hot tub is a plus. It’s also fairly private since it’s last cabin of the property.

Anna was incredibly communicative and her place was clean, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for. We especially loved her two little greeter cats!

Our stay was fantastic! The cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. There was obvious attention paid to the little details that make a trip extra relaxing. I don't think that there was anything that we wanted that wasn't thought of and ready for us. We booked our stay with the intention of disconnecting and unwinding& we were able to do exactly that. The property is absolutely magical! There was an endless amount of beautiful flowers and wildlife with a winding river. Our favorite part was relaxing on the deck watching the deer and birds. The customer service couldn't have been better. They went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. we definitely recommend & plan to return for a longer stay!

Excellent and beautiful location. Very scenic and tranquil. The location allows you to relax while still being in reach of everything. The unit was very well maintained and clean. All the Amenities of home without the chaos.

micheles place was incredibly well stocked with helpful and cute amenities and convenience items! the view and accessibility to the beach is incredible. Michele was very welcoming and we appreciated all of the recommendations she provided. the guest house is quite small but met my and my husband's needs for a quick getaway. thank you for your hospitality!

This has hands down been the best winter Airbnb I’ve ever had. Even though it has a beach theme, this could easily double as a winter wonderland cabin. I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday and before we left we were already planning our next trip back! This is hands down the cleanest feeling airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. They really put effort into making this place feel like a loved home. Everywhere you look theres a nod to the theme in home! The heating/cooling in the house is seriously impressive. The customizable fireplace upstairs (be careful on the stairs!) was a dream. Stargazing at night was incredible. I missed the sunset sleeping in on the incredible bed but the sunrise was AMAZING. Direct view on the front porch! Seeing the moon through the skylight while still being comfy on the couch and watching tv was absolutely terrific. From the endless amenities to the delicious food in the area, I can’t stop praising this place. Thank you guys for the great stay!

Cozy spot with scenic views of Silver Lake. Our host Eric was responsive and provided detailed instructions on how to access the space and all of the perks included with the rental. Will definitely rebook if I ever find myself back in the area.

We had such a great time staying at Emily's awesome retreat. It was our first mini-vacation with our dog and we were looking for some peaceful, wide open space to let her roam free. We absolutely got that with this home and thoroughly enjoyed the town, as well. Emily was super responsive whenever we did have a question and provided us with a great list of places to check out around town. Would absolutely stay again. Thanks!

The Cottage was exactly what we were looking for to stay in the area for the night after attending the NHS Graduation ceremony. The cabin had all the amenities of a home with the distance from town to give it an "off the grid" feeling. Beautiful area! The host was very responsive, and we would definitely rent from this host again, either the cottage or the house on the same property. Worth checking out for sure!!

we had the most peaceful and relaxing time. The cottage was adorable, clean and had everything you needed. The beds are so comfortable we have never slept so good away from home. the views of the lake are gorgeous 😍 we will be back for sure. The host was amazing as well giving recommendations of whats in the area and a sweet welcome basket.

Absolutely loved my time here. Wish I was still sitting on the deck watching the loons! Beautiful, peaceful location. House has everything we needed, and it was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place, and I hope to stay here again someday.

Our stay was perfect! Austyn and Matt’s home was exactly what we were looking for in a cozy, costal cottage. Their recommendations for food and activities were exceptional. Be sure to go to LDI Lobster across the street if you visit. We went twice! Thank you for opening your home. Highly recommend to travelers looking to explore the Maine coast and Acadia.

Our stay at Stephen’s cabin was amazing! We arrived on a rainy next and he had a fire waiting for us. The next day he stopped by to introduce himself while we were outside and he could not have been friendlier. Visits from his dog Tilly were one of the best parts about our time there. It was a peaceful place to unwind for a long weekend. There were also many hiking trails in the area for us to checkout. We hope to come back!

Lovely home with excellent views of the Machias Bay. It’s a bit out of the way from most of the well-known tourist spots in Maine, so just something to keep in mind when booking. That said, it’s a beautiful, quiet place in Downeast Maine. We loved watching the tide roll in and out and spotting the birds and other wildlife each day (including the porcupine on day one!). Easy access to Jasper Beach, West Quoddy Lighthouse, Cutler Coast Preserve, Roque Bluffs State Park, and Downeast Adventure ATV rentals plus the Sunrise Trail more than made up for being off the beaten path. Michael was an extremely responsive host and made check-in and check-out a breeze. In a sea of difficult hosts and overly complex checkout procedures, this was a huge win.

Loved our time here! It’s about a 40 minute drive from Portland and then 5-10 from Brunswick. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect, exactly what we needed to relax! We loved coming back from Portland and grabbing dinner and gelato in Brunswick, such a nice way to unwind from a long day. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again :)
