Pet-friendly holiday rentals in New Haven County

This is our second time staying at Rudy’s wonderful home but definitely will not be our last! Rudy is amazing at being an Airbnb host but he’s also such a great man. He’s so helpful and kind. We really love this home and getting to know Rudy more and more with every visit. This house is a gem! I came to stay a week in off season with my dog, Rollo. The location is breathtaking, right on the Long Island Sound. We had a great time exploring the beach, looking for all the biodiversity in the birds and sea creatures, watching the boats, and this place is relatively close to an airport so watching the planes land and take off was awsome as well. We came for privacy, and I expected the beach to be a little more private than it was due to my dog's reactivity. But the neighbors did not seem to have issues with us, and once you are close to the water, especially in low tide, the beach is pretty open for all the locals. Walking around, the locals all waved and said hello. Not too many restaurants close by, but the Lobster Shack down the road had good food! Would stay again! The deck alone was worth it!

The location was ideal—peaceful and quiet, yet close to everything we wanted to explore. After long days out, it was so relaxing to return to such a cozy and comfortable space. We truly didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a restful, welcoming, and seamless experience.

We loved Laura and Dana’s Big Easy home by the beach. It was big and comfortable and every detail had been thought about to maximize our enjoyment. Drawers and closets and cabinets were all labeled so we didn’t have to search for anything or guess where anything was. Literally every need had been anticipated! Amazing. The beds and bedding and linens and towels were abundant and soft and comfortable. The kitchen amenities were awesome, from an air fryer, to a full set of bar tools and blender, to great appliances. The decor was happy and cheerful and creative and fun. There were so many places to sit and enjoy, both inside and out. Do not hesitate to choose this wonderful place for a visit of any length. You will love it!

This property is in New Haven, bordering North Haven. Easily accessible from the 91 or from SR15, but not near enough either road to hear traffic noise. This is a downstairs unit, and there are tenants above; you will hear some neighborly noise, but nothing out of the ordinary for a duplex, and much quieter than a hotel room. If you're familiar with the area, this home is walking distance from the large Medtronic facility and a close drive to the North Haven shopping area (Target, Cinemark). Property is well kept, and all linens and interior areas were clean. We appreciated the pet-friendly approach (minimal rugs on the floor), as well as the large (unfenced) yard for our dog. We had a few minor issues, to which the hosts were quick to respond and remedy. The kitchen has every feature or appliance you'd need for a short stay, and even included common spices, soap, paper towels, and kcups. Bathroom had ample towels for 2 people. Would be happy to stay here for future visits.

me and kids was there for a mini getaway and everyone had their on bed which was dope a.f..my 10 yo nephew played on trampoline..for extended stay she has washer and dryer (we spent one night didn't use it) only complaint I have is when I took a shower it was a leaning curve with the water temp I couldn't figure the thing out my kid had to help me figure it out besides that place is great imo

Spacious home with a nice outside area. Enjoyed coffee with birds and bunnies. Will stay here again.

The pool house is so cute and the outdoor patio is gorgeous and the perfect place to relax. Great place to stay if you want to stay near New Haven but also want to enjoy quiet away from the city. Sue is a responsive and very generous host!

Glenda was friendly and had great communication from Start to Finish. This was a nice location for a family fun weekend. Although the drive is close enough to stores if you need anything (target/stopnshop/bjs etc), the property is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The yard is a great place to hang out and relax with the fire pit or have fun in the pool. And when the weather was crappy the pool table and hanging out in the basement den was nice. Everything in the house is labeled and easy to find. We enjoyed the space and would definitely recommend. Thanks again! 😊

I had such a fantastic experience staying at this Airbnb! The home was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect—close to everything I needed, but still quiet and peaceful for a relaxing getaway. Waking up and drinking coffee with the beautiful view of Candlewood lake was breathtaking. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend anyone to stay here. I would also recommend you to take your boat or even rent one near by,absolutely incredible!!!

We had a lovely stay! The home was exactly as pictured — beautifully maintained with charming indoor and outdoor spaces. The pool was great, though unfortunately the weather didn’t quite cooperate during our visit. The location was also a big plus — close to so many great restaurants and shopping options. The Karleen and Kim were wonderful — kind, responsive, and clearly a lovely family. We felt very welcome and would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient getaway.

We had a wonderful girls weekend at Allana’s house by the sea! When we had a small incident with the keypad, Allana was quick to answer my call and resolve the issue no problem. Everything was clean and beautiful! We especially enjoyed the screened in porch in the back to enjoy our meals. The view from the master bedroom and deck is incredible! We highly recommend and will be back!

Jim’s place was an absolute gem for my inaugural trip to Black Rock! The Loft is incredibly spacious and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the meticulous cleanliness, attention to detail, and beautiful furnishings. Jim's communication was top-notch, making the entire experience seamless. One of the highlights was the extensive music collection, perfect for setting the mood during my downtime. The bed and furniture provided a level of comfort that made it hard to leave. Nestled on a serene, tree-lined street, the location couldn’t be better; it’s just a leisurely stroll away from delightful restaurants, charming shops, food markets, and more. I can’t wait to return for another stay whenever I’m in the area!

Meaghan was a wonderful host who was very prompt, kind, and respectful of privacy. The house itself was stylish, comfortable, and modern while being kid friendly which is a tough thing to achieve in any home let alone an Airbnb. The view from the house was an absolute highlight! We had a great time!

Christian’s place was perfect for our needs. Passes for parking were included, place was cozy and clean, and all of downtown is walkable from the apartment. Christian responded quickly and gave some great recommendations.

We had a fabulous weekend at this lovely cottage. Located on a remote peninsula surrounded by the glistening water we couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience. The amenities were both convenient and thoughtful. Although we chose to dine out, the kitchen was very modern with upscale appliances and an espresso machine. We did bbq on our last night and had a great end to our 4 night stay!

Ricardo was easy to get in contact with regarding booking another stay. Felt right at home. Very cozy and comfortable. Never have I stayed anywhere else that provided tooth paste tooth brushes, mouth wash, deodorant, body cleanser, shampoo conditioner, body lotion. Homemade Italian cookies greet you at the door. Some yummy snacks if you get hungry and refreshing mint tea or coffee to start the day. A the few extra bottles of water kept cold in the fridge really was the icing on the cake. Ricardo definitely is a very generous host and I would recommend anyone in the area or even outside the area to book at stay here. I come from white plains and do not mind the 45min-1hour drive even just to stay for the night and get some alone time And peace.

Nice place located in a beautiful secluded house in a safe neighborhood. Gorgeous property. Our dogs were allowed and they were very comfortable. The amenities were exactly as described. Extremely clean and well maintained. The place was easy to locate and easy to access. It is convenient to many local stores and restaurants. Great, responsive hosts!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Erica’s place! From the moment I booked, she was friendly, communicative, and incredibly responsive—always quick to answer any questions and made sure I felt completely taken care of. The apartment was exactly as pictured. Spotlessly clean, stylish, and thoughtfully furnished. It had everything I could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to cozy touches that made it feel like home. The location was also perfect not too noisy, safe, and close to everything I needed. Erica truly went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend her place to anyone visiting the area!

My family and myself loved every square inch of this property! From the serene views and well landscaped garden, to the sound of a stream to fall asleep to, the spotless interior and attention to detail…the pet bowls and bed, the labeled cabinets, the toiletries and games, we never wanted to leave! We last minute had to accommodate family members to be picked up later than the check out time and Michael was kind enough to extend our stay until 2pm so we could relax and enjoy more time together! We might make an annual trip out of this house and can’t thank the host enough for his immediate responses and making us feel right at home. Beautiful home, we loved sharing it! The first night we ate at the near by restaurant on the water, Housatonic House, also a recommendation on the fridge! Great food and service and BEAUTIFUL views! It ended up raining Saturday, but we still got a Hike in on our last morning at Osbornedale State Park, beautiful trails and picnic areas! Wonderful time.
