Holiday rentals with lake access in New Haven County

Glenda was friendly and had great communication from Start to Finish. This was a nice location for a family fun weekend. Although the drive is close enough to stores if you need anything (target/stopnshop/bjs etc), the property is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The yard is a great place to hang out and relax with the fire pit or have fun in the pool. And when the weather was crappy the pool table and hanging out in the basement den was nice. Everything in the house is labeled and easy to find. We enjoyed the space and would definitely recommend. Thanks again! 😊

This was the second time staying at Angela’s place and it was a great experience, again! The location is great and the back yard is so peaceful and cozy. My family says it feels like it’s our Fairfield Home! I would highly recommend it! First Class!

Our stay at Ellen’s Lake House was perfect. It was comfortable, clean and the view of the lake is amazing. My husband enjoyed fishing and we both loved being on the water. Ellen was helpful and made our stay a wonderful experience.

We had a great weekend away. The house was great and the lake was beautiful and peaceful. It was warm, clean, welcoming and felt like home. I would definitely recommend and stay again! The host was responsive and detailed, it was smooth from booking through departure. The house felt modern, clean, well laid out and totally welcoming…and you can’t beat the view!

We had a great time at Tonya’s place visit CT from AZ with the family for nephew’s wedding. Convenient location, spotless and very comfortable it felt like home.

Very nice location with exceptional lake and surrounding views. We loved the very new and modern kitchen (w/ large island!), large wraparound deck, and unobstructed view of the water from the open living room. Quiet, peaceful and safe. Easy to communicate with host and felt genuinely at home. Exceptional value, highly recommend! (4 adults, 1 cat).

The apartment was just what I was looking for - quiet, clean, well-situated to shops and places to eat. Alex responds quickly to questions or requests. I was very happy to stay here.

This is a very interesting place. It's a unit in a sprawling, slightly ramshackle condo building. As the listing indicates, it is right on the lake. The unit is pretty small, but the owners have done a good job of making it comfortable. There's AC, new carpet, etc. The master bedroom, in particular, is high quality. The building is old and has some quirks. For instance, as mentioned, it is a hike to get down to the unit from where you park. However, the outside areas are wonderful. There's multiple fire pits, a dock to sit on, etc. Overall, this is a great place as long as you read the description carefully and know what you are getting.

Margie’s place is an amazing hidden gem. The inside is very clean and comfortable. The outside is an experience of its own. The lake will drop your blood pressure immediately. Gorgeous surroundings. The dogs are friendly and lovable. We will be back! 👍🏼

My husband and I stayed at the Waterview over Valentine's wknd. Instructions were precise, everything looked like the pics, and even better. Unit was simply but beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and comfortable with stunning views of Lake Zoar. We had a small issue upon arrival but Kristi was super prompt with a resolve and was kind and professional. A Winter storm was in effect and she was flexible with our arrival time and exit for our safety, which meant alot. We slept like babies to the sounds of owls hoo'ing and icy rain hitting the snow covered lake, which even at night was just stunning. I woke up early to watch the snow and ice melt from the lake...it really was a magical thing to behold. I saw deer tracks and was sorry I missed them. Saw mallards and several GORGEOUS hooded merganser, as well as several different species of birds flying over. If you love nature and gorgeous spaces that feel like home, book the Waterview. We hope to revisit in warmer months. Thank u Kristi

Ricardo’s place was truly incredible. It’s such a cozy, clean and convenient spot located in a very good area. Had everything you need and have a very home-like feel. I was visiting my girlfriend for our anniversary and the weather wasn’t the greatest outside but that didn’t bother us one bit. We were comfortable cooking and eating at home and we had everything to make that happen. Ricardo and his wife were so kind and flexible with us. We would love to come back in the summertime and fully enjoy their spot again because there are great views in the backyard by the water. Well worth the price of admission. Thank you Ricardo and family. We will definitely be back if you’ll have us! Cheers 🥂

The Lake House was a great choice to stay! Everything went smooth from arrival till departure. We didn't have a single issue during our stay. The house was perfectly clean and very complete. It offered everything we needed. The view over the lake is fantastic and ease of access to the water for kayaking. We had a great time here, and would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing weekend getaway at this beautiful lake house! I came with my son and a few friends, and it was the perfect spot to relax and make unforgettable memories. The kids had a blast paddle boating, canoeing, and even caught a fish right from the lake! The home was peaceful, clean, and had everything we needed for a fun and comfortable stay. Truly a special place. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a really wonderful time here for my friends’ trip. Kimberly was a communicative and amazing host, and the cottage was clean and well-stocked. The location is also perfect if you are hoping to enjoy some peace and relaxation, with nearby parks and trails available for exploration.

This is a charming and spacious cottage with a tranquil and airy feel. The clean white interiors, coupled with the art and fresh flowers provided in every room by this lovely host will elevate your spirit. It’s private, yet offers the opportunity to mingle with the family who own this property and live nearby. You are welcome to wander among the flowers in their multiple greenhouses. Expect to see Blue Jays on your windowsill and Squirrels bounding up the many trees that lie right outside your kitchen window. Truly inspiring hiking is one of the many local attractions that this ‘cabin in the woods’ retreat has to offer. 5 stars.

What a wonderful place to rest, relax, and maybe get a little bit of work done too. Home was perfect for the whole work from home situation with a extra monitor and everything. Also had a fully enclosed yard for the dogs. We spent the week up in Connecticut, in this wonderful home, that felt perfectly in between a hotel, and simply staying at a friend‘s house who was extremely clean, conscientious, and out of town. Would recommend to other others and will try to stay again.

Our stay at Kathleen’s home was truly unforgettable. The house is beyond beautiful — nestled right by the lake, it made it so easy to take a quick swim with the water at the perfect temperature. The sun filled the living room with such a warm, elegant glow, and even during the cloudy, rainy moments, the space felt incredibly cozy as we listened to the gentle raindrops outside. Kathleen was super responsive and so friendly throughout the entire process. Her clear instructions and thoughtful rules made everything smooth and stress-free, which meant the world to us during our wedding weekend. I honestly can’t thank her enough for allowing us to stay in her gorgeous home. Whether it's sunny or rainy, this house is the perfect getaway. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene, magical escape!
