Our family and friends had a lovely time in Cynthia's home. The setting is very pretty, the dock was a great place to fish and crab from and the beach offers another great hangout spot. The added bonus is that her home is just a 10-minute walk to a cute little restaurant in a marina with great oysters and cocktails.

This place was great! The location makes it easy to get to many places in Richmond quickly and it was a perfect location for a family wedding in nearby Maymont. The house is beautiful and the furnishings very comfortable. The pool was a special bonus - lovely and relaxing with incredible plantings. Clearly a lot of time was spent considering what guests might want. I just wish we'd had more time to enjoy it.

We had a wonderful stay here! Everything was exactly as described. Eugene was really responsive when communicating and super friendly! I would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. Thank you again for such a relaxing place to stay!

Fun place with great activities. Had a good time shooting pool playing darts area was very spacious.

We had a really nice stay at the Rose Retreat! The home is wonderfully appointed with nice furnishings. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen with upscale drink and dinnerware. The hand written welcome note, bottle of wine and snacks were so thoughtful - thank you! A perfect location from which to enjoy Irvington and the surrounding towns. We hope to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool!

We are repeat guests and they minute we find out we have to be in Richmond, it's an automatic click. The hospitality of the owners is top level. The house is well stocked and has pretty much all cooking supplies you could ever need. The pool was so key this last stay because it was so hot and the water was refreshing! We felt right at home. Great guest instructions and easy checking in as well as checking out. Again, automatic booking for us when we need to be in Richmond!

We needed a peaceful, relaxing weekend away and that’s exactly what we got by choosing this AirBnB. While neighbors were close, the trees made it feel like we were secluded. The home was comfortable. We especially enjoyed the back room off the kitchen for just hanging out and chatting. Maria provided thorough details up front and was responsive during our stay. We are already planning our next trip.

Beautiful view and lovely house. Thoroughly enjoyed all the wildlife - lots of baby geese, ospreys in flight, woodchucks, bunnies and deer in abundance - loved it!!

Beautiful house and beautiful spot. Very peaceful. Would make a great weekend get away. Wouldn't consider it kid friendly, but the kids certainly enjoyed it.

We stayed in West Point because we attended a family wedding in King William. We all agreed that we felt pampered by the amenities and the beautiful kitchen was so roomy for our big family group. The fire pit was a big hit! The neighbors were incredibly friendly! We will definitely stay next time we have a big family event in or near West Point!

Our stay was so peaceful . Location was great and easy to get to other areas around Williamsburg. Our 3 year old grandson loved the cows in the backyard.

This stay was incredibly special—it had been nearly six years since I last saw my son from California, and it was wonderful to gather my whole family together in one beautiful place. The home gave us the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere we needed to reconnect and truly enjoy our time together. It was clean, spacious, and filled with natural light. We cooked meals as a family, relaxed in the hot tub, and spent quiet time by the fire pit watching golfers pass by. The outdoor seating was just beautiful, and we even grilled one evening—it was perfect. The host was kind, responsive, and flexible, even helping me extend our stay when I needed one more day to catch my breath. This home gave us space to rest, laugh, and make meaningful memories. We’re so grateful for your hospitality!

The bed, bedding n towels were first class and as such things do, made the stay so much more enjoyable. also, extra thanks for the most comfortable bed AND reclining sofa n loveseat. It was perfect to relax on in the evening to watch a movie. This place was also super clean, from the chandeliers to the baseboard molding. but as important to us, it was so pleasant, peaceful and tranquil. We loved being able to use the kayaks, that were provided, on the beautiful lake. Kent was a superb host, being so patient with us regarding gaining access to the house. Thanks so much, Kent, for the best airbnb and vrbo stay we have ever had... and we have been using Vaca rentals since 2016!

We had a great stay at Ivy's place. The place was as described. Check-in was clear and straightforward. And the home is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and enjoy.

Mrs. Jean and her husband were wonderful hosts! Very clean living space, many amenities, gorgeous area absolutely will stay again!

House and ground were beautiful! The vast estate was very well manicured and well kept. It was a unique house being 160 years old and having the kitchen in a separate house but did enjoy the time era furniture. House had been updated and was done well. Fireplaces in all rooms was awesome even though we only used the one in the kitchen as the pilot light wasn’t lit in the others. House had all of the items needed for a vacation and we would go back in the future if we are in the area.

Awesome place! Very quiet with easy access to Richmond and local hikes!
