Greet the day in an updated tiled bathroom that has everything from a twin vanity to combined rain shower and tub. Elsewhere, the gleaming white interior is offset with color splashes, from carpets to wall accents, plus flagstone and wood floors. This home offers 1000 square feet of space to spread out and relax. With cable, wifi, and a fully equipped kitchen including microwave, tea kettle, and coffee machine, you'll have all the comforts of home. Guests have full access to the backyard. Please respect quiet hours after 9 pm. The home, in classic New Orleans style, is split into two separate dwellings, with a shared backyard. I live on the other side of the duplex with my sweet miniature goldendoodle, Willie Nelson. I'm more then happy to interact or give you privacy. I've lived in New Orleans a long time and can offer any information you need about the city. Seventh Ward/Tremé is seen by many as the city's quintessential Creole neighborhood. Home to musicians, politicians, artists, and activists; it’s near City Park, the Degas House, the Free People of Color Museum, and a 20-30 minute walk or quick Lyft/Uber from the French Quarter. Coffee shops and local food nearby. The neighborhood is an authentic, richly diverse, NOLA neighborhood for experienced travelers, outside of the traditional tourists spots of Bourbon Street and Garden District. Parking is free on the street and there’s always ample parking. Walking a mile down Esplanade Ave to the French Quarter is lovely in the daytime. Ride shares and taxis are recommended everywhere in New Orleans at night, and the fare from Maison Laharpe to the Quarter is under $10, 5-7 minutes. Bus routes are nearby, as are Blue Bike rentals. More information on these and the streetcars can be found in the guest guide in the home. This is a traditional shotgun style house which is unique to New Orleans. It's the most common type of house that you'll find throughout the city. The location is close to the famous Treme neighborhood and is a convenient to walk to local restaurants and grocery stores on Esplanade Avenue, one of the most beautiful streets in the city. You can also take an inexpensive Uber or Lyft a mile north to City Park or a mile south to the French Quarter/Bywater or Downtown CBD/Warehouse District. Local city rental bikes are also available along Esplanade and are a great way to see the city. No smoking, parties, or pets. Seventh Ward/Tremé is seen by many as the city's quintessential Creole neighborhood. We DO NOT host to children under 12 years old. Classic New Orleans apartment with character and charm located off the street in a lovely 1890's double shotgun. Stylishly furnished with many original architectural details - 13 foot ceilings, original hardwood floors and mantles, clawfoot tub with shower, and private, landscaped courtyard. Stylishly furnished - the living room sports a 52 inch t.v. + Amazon Fire Stick - the bedroom has a Tempurpedic king size mattress - the fully equipped kitchen has a residential size fridge and stove with seating for four. The private courtyard is located right off of the kitchen with a Weber charcoal grill and seating for four as well. Central heat and air, dishwasher, wifi, Keurig coffee maker, iron/ironing board and blow dryer. This apartment, as well as the courtyard, is private. You have your own gated entrance. It is not a shared space. We live on the property so if there is something you need, we can quickly respond and assist you. The home is in the historic, offbeat Marigny district, known for its bistros, bars, and music venues, adored by locals as well as vacationers. Walk to the French Quarter, Bywater, and Frenchman Street. Public transport and bike rental are close by. Located steps away from the St Claude bus line and a 8 minute walk to the St Claude streetcar line, both can take you to every part of the city. Walk or bike to Frenchman St and the French Quarter. I 100% recommend staying at Joshua's place to anyone looking for a beautiful, historic, and super clean home to stay on their trip to NOLA. I stayed here for my bachelorette with 11 other girls and we all fit comfortably and had tons of room. Everything in this historic home is immaculate and high end. Having the built in Sonos speakers in literally every room of both houses (yes even the bathroom!) was awesome! My favorite part was the pool/spa. It was perfect to cool down in after a day out and have some drinks. Although the pool is small, it has plenty of room for everyone to fit and one side even has a bench going down it so a lot of people can sit. We also enjoyed being so so close to Frenchman street and enjoyed the ease of access of being able to walk pretty much everywhere. Staying here was worth every penny and if I come to NOLA again with a large group, I would 1000% stay here again.

Abbie's home was very easy to get to with plenty of street parking available on both sides. Even though we were sharing her home, we didn't see or hear anyone our entire stay. The house was very quiet, and full of thoughtful touches and supplies. I definitely recommend staying at Abbie's place!
