The Blue Yard is a tiny home on the beautiful drive-on island of Aughinish, 12 km outside the sea-side town of Kinvara, named one of the top ten beautiful villages in Ireland. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything one might require to prepare and serve meals at the cottage. Along with a filter coffee machine and a stove top espresso pot. There are four bedrooms; downstairs, two king sized bedrooms and a cosy single, and a then upstairs, a traditional style twin room with wash basin. The bathroom which is located on the ground floor, has a bath with shower and a toilet, there is also a separate WC on the ground floor.

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
