This place was so charming and perfect for what we needed. We we just stopping for the night. We could see ourselves staying here again maybe for longer next time. Peggy’s cove, Lunenburg and the Swiss air site were all within an hour. You won’t find a more friendly accompanying host. We got in fairly late and Steve was up. He had messaged us a few hours before to let us know the space was ready whenever we got there. He was helpful with suggestions and even left a little basket with some treats for us and our dog.

We had an incredible stay at this peaceful cabin in the woods. The location was private and serene, with a cozy wood stove that made the space feel extra welcoming. The trail down to the river was the perfect distance for a short walk, and we were amazed by how many fish we caught—it was a dream spot for anglers! Our two Lagotto Romagnolos had the time of their lives exploring the woods and are now happily exhausted. The cabin was dog-friendly and perfectly set up for a relaxing retreat. Liana was a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made sure we had everything we needed and that we felt right at home. We’d absolutely recommend this place and can’t wait to come back again!

Our stay at Mallard at Church Lake was fantastic! The A-frame design is stunning with beautiful decor throughout. The kitchen setup was perfect, and we loved using the outdoor grill for lakeside meals. As birding enthusiasts, we added many new species to our Life List and learned fascinating details about mallard duck behavior and life cycles. The location is a nature lover's dream. What really set this property apart were the excellent accessibility features (wheelchair ramp, no-threshold shower, seamless floor transitions, etc., which accommodated our disabilities. The hosts were communicative before and during our stay, making everything seamless. We enjoyed canoeing and paddleboarding during the day and incredible stargazing at night under clear skies. This property offers the perfect blend of comfort, accessibility, and natural beauty. We'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to other travellers, especially those needing accessible accommodations!

My best friend, pups and I had a wonderful time at the lakeside cottage. It was so cute and the surroundings were incredible!
