Elk and water buffalo love to take a swim in the pond that Elk Ridge overlooks as well. Enjoy the natural scenery in the evening around a firepit on the waterfront deck. Newly built, secluded 2 bedroom, 2 bath lakehouse on multiple wooded acres nestled between Kennekuk County Park & Kickapoo State Park. Sleeps six (2 bedrooms with 2 queen beds plus pull-out couch). Access Kickapoo mountain bike trails from the property. Spend your time in complete privacy, swimming or paddling kayaks & canoes down the mile-long Crooked Lake, playing on the private dock and dockside Lillypad (floating water mat), relaxing in the hottub, or making s’mores around the firepit.

Tuscola, IL, is the location of one of the busier railroad junctions south of Greater Chicagoland, where UP, CSX, and CN cross the CN together.

The Depot B & B: A Peaceful Retreat

Just minutes from campus, downtown, and the airport, The Depot is a historic home attached to 5 wooded acres, a lake, and a "big sky" view across the prairie for watching sunsets and night skies. Originally a train depot constructed in 1857, it has been fully modernized for contemporary living. However, we have taken great effort to preserve its rustic charms that Abraham Lincoln would have known during his circuit riding days before the Civil War. These include graffiti from 1917.

A quaint and cozy cabin using all reclaimed wood. It has been a pleasure creating our dream... The Guest House. It is located on our 15 acre farmette. The barn hosts big and mini horses (ask for rides), chickens, and occasionally some bunnies. It is not unusual to spot deer, fox, birds, and other wildlife in the outdoors. Please note: Our guest house does NOT INCLUDE WI-FI OR TELEVISION. We encourage guests to unplug, relax, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
