First mentioned in 1311, it is one of the oldest properties in the village The guest suite (Müllerstube) is a self-contained apartment on the first floor of the house and can be locked separately. You will find a kitchen with cooking and dining facilities, a dressing room, a bathroom with shower and a spacious bedroom with a double bed and two single beds.

Gänsetrappe - Vacation in a monument

Immerse yourself in a world of the past. The Gänsetrappe is a 335-year-old individual monument in the old town of Ballenstedt. The house is detached on the approximately 1000 square meter property at the end of a dead end road. The originality has been preserved as much as possible and carefully combined with the contemporary requirements of a cozy vacation home. Villa Meier is located directly on the Karst hiking trail. It leads in close proximity past the Röseteich, one of the approx. 50 "monastery ponds". Nevertheless, the center of Walkenried is within walking distance. Upstairs of Villa Meier is the almost 120 sqm apartment. An open-plan kitchen/dining/living area with a fireplace invites you to enjoy convivial evenings. To rejuvenate, let yourself be wonderfully warmed in the infrared sauna, and after settling into the cozy Swiss pine bed, nothing stands in the way of a deep and restful sleep.
