The best Airbnb I’ve stayed in—hands down. Tucked in the serene hills of Shimoda, this cozy home is a peaceful retreat just minutes from the beach by bike. From the gentle breeze that rolls through the trees to the tranquil stillness of the evenings, everything about this place invites calm. The home itself is warm, welcoming, and impeccably cared for—perfectly blending comfort with charm. The area is breathtaking: quiet roads, lush green surroundings, and a sense of timeless beauty that’s hard to put into words. The room was renovated, the whole thing was great, and the host was very welcoming.The surrounding area is very convenient for transportation, access to the station and bubble hot spring bicycle.The lack of the United States is that spiders, large and small spiders were always found during their stay, and the geckos were randomly refreshed outside the window. The combination of the two was terrifying, fearing the caution of insects.

It was a facility where you could relax. This region is unique in that it is rich in nature, and you can enjoy the sea, mountains, and rivers, and see Mt. Fuji. The food is also delicious in general. There is also a hot spring facility within walking distance. There is a terrace on the 2nd floor where you can barbecue, lie in a hammock, and relax. There were plenty of beds and futons, so it was fine for families and groups. Monitors and printers were also available so that I could work on my computer, and I could also use it as a co-working space.

Naoki was a fantastic host and was very accomodating! The house is very new and with great woodwork, and the bed was so comfortable. It so peaceful to stay there and I would recommend anyone to visit Naoki's place!
