Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nord-Fron Municipality

We had a pleasant stay in Gålå. We enjoyed sauna, whirlpool and the close access to the groomed cross country ski tracks.

Very easily a top-notch AirBnB experience — 10/10! Ivar and Astrid go above and beyond sharing their accommodations and cultivating a charming, cozy stay rich in family history. A peaceful oasis surrounded by nature for the adventurous. We adjusted our trip to spend more time here! Each detail — from the furniture, kitchen amenities and sauna to the radio, book collection, and wood burning stove — made us feel right at home. We hope to be back one day.

The house was beautiful and felt very homely. It was easy to settle in as it was clean with all necessities available. The area around was amazing with great views and a nice friendly neighbourhood. With a ski slope outside the house, we were never bored and had lots of fun! A great place to spend some time at Christmas! The owners were very friendly and rresponded quickly to our every query. We would happy return once again :)

After a stormy crossing, we reached Gala in the most beautiful sunshine, a short argument with the Norwegian castle, then we immediately felt at home. We had seven wonderful cross-country tours in changing sunny-cold weather and a little fresh snow. The hut was always cozy and warm. We almost stayed forever. Now, unfortunately, everyday life has caught up with us again. Thank you, Marianne

Hans Magnar's shepherds gave us just the cabin stay we wanted - peaceful surroundings, view to great mountains in the middle of an area full of other sets. Great hiking opportunities in the area. Easy to heat the cabin with two good wood stoves and a lovely fireplace space. Hans Magnar told a lot of nice stories about the space, which is an inherited seat, which gave that little extra to the stay. Thank you so much for us!

It was a wunderfaul experience to stay in this beautifully arranged and decorated house with it´s old furniture and stuff. Carsten welcomed us with a detailed plan, showed us everything and handed us over a perfectly cleaned place with burning candles, firewood etc. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it for families looking for peace, beautiful nature and nordic skiing.

An absolutely perfect place for cross-country skiing for the whole family - age 2 - 74 years. We were 2 adults, 4 children and 2 grandparents for 7 days. The cabin was really nice and very spacious. Nothing was missing! Lovely with sauna after a good day skiing. Beautiful view of mountains and sunrise every morning. We were lucky with the weather and had pretty much good weather (sun) all week:). A ski area that offers many different slopes. Please check the Norwegian website ski track and search Skåbu. The trails were continuously driven up by Skåbu Tverrbygda løybelag (search FB - there are ongoing photos from the area) The host was very helpful, which was really nice:). All in all, a really nice place that can definitely be recommended♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.

the cabin in the woods is a really authentic back to nature place when you want to find peace in a simply minimalistic way.a big lake with canoe in front of the house can also be used to go fishing.we stayed for 3 nights and enjoined the wild nature.

Very nice and pleasant stay, the sauna was a nice plus as well as the washing machine and dryer. Very cozy apartment. Maybe a little more expensive as a couple, but definitely worth it. In the summer, a slightly quieter and more secluded area.

Would you like a little "back to the roots?" - then you are in the right place in Øyvind's beautiful cabin. Simple but clean furnishings in typical Norwegian rustic style. Everything in wood and very cozy. Everything you need is there. A cast iron wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth. So nothing stands in the way of a cozy evening on the corner bench by candlelight. You can prepare simple dishes on a two-burner gas stove. The kitchen utensils are great - good pots and good frying pan. The two bedrooms are very clean and nicely furnished. The cabin is located on a slight hillside with good lake and surrounding mountains views. You can get water from the creek with the corresponding bucket. Many opportunities for hiking - easy to difficult - are available in the area. Those who appreciate the tranquility and simplicity are in the right place. Gladly come back.

We had a super winter holiday at Gålå, short distance to both the hill and ski tracks! Super nice cabin with everything you need, and Anders&Marit are super nice hosts! Thank you so much for us!

Conveniently decorated and well-equipped cabin in the area right next to the sledding hill and children's slalom. Quiet area and cozy cabin of the slightly older variety. Good with sleeping arrangements, nice and clean bathrooms, and cabin that was easy to keep warm. We would love to come back another time.

We had an amazing time! The accommodation is warm, super well-equipped, we didn't miss anything, The outside is beautiful and peaceful!! Thank you for everything!

Very cozy old post office. The perfect accommodation for our family heading over the mountains. Very good "breakfast basket" with, among other things, homemade jam. We would gladly come again sometime

Great place, both the cabin and the location. We had a question and got a very quick answer to this, so we are super pleased. This is a place we would like to come back to.
