Bottom floor of duplex located on Donner Summit. A hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts. Like a home on a golf course except up here the golf course is Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Resort and Soda Springs downhill ski resort. Sugar Bowl and Donner Ski Ranch ski resorts are only two miles down the road. Boreal is just one exit away on highway 80. Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and North Star are all about a 20-30 minute drive away (weather dependent) For rent is the bottom unit of the duplex

Coziest Cabin in the Woods

A great cabin for a couple (or two couples) or small family, with easy access to great hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer. In the winter, there is a sledding hill and miles of snowshoe trails out the back door. Four ski resorts are within ten minutes' drive. The deck is the perfect place to watch the bountiful stars in the clear mountain air any time of year. Please read the notes about winter conditions, especially the driveway, very carefully.

Fantastic cabin, very well equipped, comfortable bedrooms, the hot-tub was fun for the family. Views of the lake are stunning. Would highly recommend. Location was great - just a short drive to Sugar Bowl.

Place worked well for us! Great proximity to Soda Springs Ski Resort. Only complaint is that the floor was freezing (lots of heat loss through the floor) and that the kid’s twins room had a strange sound and vibration coming from the locked closet. They slept fine though. Kitchen was well stocked! Fire heater worked well!

We have stayed in Tahoe Donner many times over the years but this was the first time at this house. The experience was great from start to finish. Hamish and Kim were super clear about what to expect, the house was so clean, perfectly furnished for relaxing and sleeping and it had everything needed for a couple of nice meals in. We needed to connect with Hamish and Kim a few times and they were always SUPER responsive and helpful - which is always so nice on weekends like this. We will for sure look to stay here again.

This is one of our happy places. We'll be back as many times as Pete & Sonia will have us! The cabin is clean & comfortable. The location is fantastic: close to the lake and open space right out the backdoor. Pete is also incredibly responsive, welcoming, and kind.

Cassie is a wonderful host. She's very helpful and responsive! Her house was very comfortable, cozy and a great place to stay. The kitchen was well stocked, the house was very clean and inviting. We enjoyed our time there and found everything as expected. The retractable dog gates on both the front and back decks were great! We could enjoy the outdoors without needing to keep the dog on leash the entire time.
