It was completely renovated in 2025 and invites you to rest and relax both inside and outside. A large box spring bed is available for sleeping. Our highlights are 2 bathrooms, a relaxing lounger and a hanging chair in the living room and an inviting sun terrace behind the house

The wide panorama of the Harz mountains lets you quickly enter vacation mode.

The apartment is located right outside Wernigerode (5 minutes). Thanks to a good connection to the A36, you can easily reach many excursion destinations in the Harz. Schmatzfeld is equipped with bike trails that lead you in all directions. Public transportation is available within 100 m. The apartment offers 2 bedrooms and up to 6 sleeping options. The large living/cooking area is spacious and invites you to linger. You can reach the apartment via a metal staircase.

Immerse yourself in a world of the past. The Gänsetrappe is a 335-year-old individual monument in the old town of Ballenstedt. The house is detached on the approximately 1000 square meter property at the end of a dead end road. In addition to a quiet location, you can also enjoy the quick connection to the A36 to discover the region with its numerous cultural and hiking opportunities. Furthermore, Schmatzfeld is equipped with bike paths in all directions. It is a paradise for cycling enthusiasts. Long leisurely walks are also possible on the surrounding dirt roads.

Right on the Harz in the small village of Veckenstedt, is our lovingly and comfortably furnished vacation home for up to ten people. In 2018, we decided to renovate a large part of the building and convert it into a vacation home. The renovation was completed in mid-2020. Our country market and bakery are within walking distance (5 minutes). Ample parking space is available for cars. For motorcycles, there is also a covered and lockable area.

FW Gustav - the perfect base for your Harz vacation

The apartment is located on the 1st floor of an old farmhouse. The farm, which used to be completely closed, was decisively shaped by Gustav Neuhoff, the hostess's grandfather. Hence the name FW Gustav. The nearest shops are in Derenburg, 6 km away. Heudeber is a quiet village, but the nearby A36 offers quick connections to the highlights of the Harz Mountains. Wernigerode, Halberstadt, Quedlinburg and Goslar can be reached in about 25 minutes.

Welcome to our bright and cozy apartment with modern furnishings and amenities. Our apartment is located in a charming half-timbered house and is spacious at 75 m². Great location, the apartment is the ideal base for hikes in the Harz Mountains, cultural strolls, cycling, walking and skiing. In a few minutes by car or bus you can reach the old town of Wernigerode or the station of the historic Harzquerbahn.

My "little hut" is located in the beautiful village of Stapelburg in the Harz Mountains between Wernigerode and Bad Harzburg/Goslar. Last year, a real gem with a lot of love for detail emerged from a "junk shed." My place is on a quiet side street, and parking is available right in front of the house. The "Schüppchen" is hidden behind my house and is accessible via a comfortable external staircase.
