Holiday rentals with a kayak in North Captiva Island

We had a great stay in Amanda's house. There was everything you need. What we enjoyed most was the pool and the unique view from the terrace. We definitely recommend this accomodation to those who want to spend some relaxing days in Cape Coral!

Kevins house was nothing short of amazing and as others have stated, the photos don't it justice. We loved the outdoor space and the pool was bigger than appeared in photos. The inside of the house was very open and we were able to feel "at home". Kevin was very responsive before and during, although we didn't have any issues during our stay, but we did have to call him upon our arrival as we went to the wrong address (our fault!). It is in an "up and coming area" of Cape Coral, but it is a very quiet and nice area, and Publix is right down the road. Even Target, Aldis, and a farmers market store is within 10 minutes. We decided to drive to Naples area beaches, as we prefer those, and it was an hour drive, which we didn't mind. Lots of restaurants within 10-25 minutes. Only my husband and I stayed, but it would be great with the kids or other couples, and would definitely love to stay in this house in the future.

This place is perfect, our family absolutely loved everything about it. The host provides a guide for local recommendations, everything needed in the house, beach & pool gear, & checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable & had everything we needed. The AC unit unexpectedly stopped working but she knew it before we did. The issue was checked out & resolved immediately, we weren’t affected by it all. This was a perfect place for our relaxing getaway & we hope to return for future vacays.

Our whole family had an unforgettable time during our stay! From the moment we arrived, the peaceful setting set the tone for a rejuvenating retreat. The lake was a highlight—between fishing and kayaking, there was never a dull moment. The pool was equally fantastic, offering ample patio space to soak up the sun and unwind on those hot days. The kids were thrilled with the game room, which kept them happily entertained. Cooking in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen made family dinners a joy—and a delicious one at that. What truly set this experience apart was the closeness to nature. Turtles and ducks made friendly appearances by the lake, and the hoots of nearby owls gave our evenings a magical touch. It felt like we were part of something special, surrounded by so much life. We’re already looking forward to coming back for more cherished family moments.

If you are looking for a peaceful place with a perfect outdoor setting, this is THE place. Our group was looking for a place where we could spend a majority of our time outdoors as they had several seating areas, a pool and a hot tub and it exceeding our expectations. We LOVED the direction that the backyard/patio area faced as we wanted sun on the pool all day long and that is what we got! The bedrooms were on opposite sides of the house with private access to the patio which was a perfect setup as we had 2 couples in our group. The house was VERY clean and comfortable. We didn't have time to use all of the amenities they included, but they definitely paid attention to details for those that might. This in one of the best places our group has ever stayed, and if we come back to this area, we would absolutely rent this home again! Oh yes.. and the beds were INCREDIBLY comfortable, even better than mine at home. :)

The house was absolutely beautiful. We loved the outdoor area including the pool and hot tub. Kids spent a ton of time in the pool. Amenities are as described and hosts were responsive with any questions that we had. We would definitely stay again!!!

The home is a perfect vacation home when you want to get away and relax. Nice quiet neighborhood, plenty of activities/games in the home and the kitchen was well stocked; from panini press, airfryer, grill. I love to cook so it was nice having more than the essentials. My son caught his 1st fish! The home had everything to catch and eat it, lol! The heated pool is awesome, the views are relaxing, home is spacious. We explored downtown Fort Myers, which was a close drive from the home. There were some unique stores and nice areas to stroll and discover. If you're into seafood stop by Izzy's..the food was delicious and the kids loved thier burgers. the key lime bar dessert was one of the best I've tried. Being able to explore and come back to a warm pool was phenomenal. Remember to bring your bug spray if you plan to sit out by the canal in the evenings for the view, fire pit, or fishing. The Host really thought of every small detail! The art work in the home is impressive. LOVED IT ALL

We had an amazing week at Mona’s Enchanted Cottage! Enchanted we were! Mona is so friendly and communicative, offering tons of great local recommendations. The cottage is cozy, clean, private, and had everything we needed. We loved kayaking—fed turtles, saw manatees swim by, birds, and even an owl! A few small gators kept their distance but not curious enough to bother. Fishing from the dock was fantastic—I caught 25+ fish across 5 different species. There’s definitely more than you can count though. The bait shop with the funny name further down the road had the best bait and tips. The hot tub spa is the super nice kind. We grilled dinner most nights and had no issues with the internet to stream shows when it rained. The town is small and cute. You can definitely find a place to listen to live music every night. Our dog adored the doggy beach, and Barefoot Beach was super close with easy parking at 10 AM. We didn’t want to leave, 10/10—already planning to come back!

This is a beautiful home. Well appointed and well maintained. Everything was spotless. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!! The host thought of almost everything. Kayaks, bicycles, pool towels, etc. My only recommendations for improvement would be facial tissues and fans for sleeping. That’s it! That’s all I could think of.

Wow! We loved this house. Great outdoor seating, loved watching the boats come and go. Pool and hot tub were fantastic. Great flat grill for dinners at home. Good restaurant options in the area. Cape Coral is close to so much, but away from traffic. Loads of windows and natural light. Very clean. Highly recommend.

RedAwning was the perfect accommodation for our 3-day fishing trip. We docked the boat directly behind the house, which was equipped with a fish-cleaning station and comfortable outdoor patio. The hosts were friendly and responsive, even offering to replace the coffee maker we were having some trouble with. The house was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen well-equipped (including complimentary wine and water bottles!). It would have been nice to have a second bathroom, but otherwise it was perfect!

Cute cottage! It was clean, comfortable, and a great location! Bradley was an amazing host! He had everything you could possibly need, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Highly recommended !!

Ernest was great! He was super responsive when we were trying to get the heat to work and was very proactive. He had renovated the place nicely after the area had experienced hurricane damage. The town is still in recovery but the neighbors were friendly when we were walking around. I will note that the current pictures (as of Jan 2025) are not up to date due to the renovations post hurricanes but all of the appliances/repairs are new and clean. and should not pose an issue on booking/staying at this house (i.e. the tiles in the bathroom are now white). We would stay here again!!

We had two families and we both enjoyed our stay! The house was very accommodating for both our families with kids. We all enjoyed the salt water pool and patio. The information binder provided gave clear instructions for our stay and provided many recommendations for restaurants and activities to do. Stu and Cathy were very helpful and even personally check on us during our stay!
