Holiday rentals with beach access in North Dorset District

The accommodation was perfect for our needs. It had everything we needed for a short break It was clean, modern and comfortable. Dave provided clear instructions about how to check in, and we were aware thst we could contact him should the need arise. We will be recommending this accommodation to friends and family.

Me my partner and dog had a brilliant stay, Barrie and Paula could not have been helpful enough with any issues we had. Would 100% recommend to anyone else looking to stay in the Poole/Bournemouth area. We have no quarms in booking to stay here again.

The beach hut is a perfect retreat. It is beautifully kept and has a gorgeous private garden which goes right up to the water’s edge. It’s wonderfully located less than 5 minutes walk from the main Sandbanks beach and Rick Stein’s restaurant. The Studland chain ferry is also very close giving access to stunning Shell Bay and the wild National Trust beaches. Michele was very friendly & provided many thoughtful touches including her homemade lemon drizzle cake - sublime! I would love to return as it’s a perfect spot from which to explore this area or just to meditate on your bed with a sea view. Thanks Michele!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean upon arrival, bright and comfortable. Quiet at night. Nice views from the living area over the harbor and looking over the town from the large bedroom. As Suzanne had noted in the listing, there is no assigned parking space which could be an issue. We had to pay to park the day of arrival. It’s free after 6pm until 8am. One item we’d suggest adding would be a clothes hanger for drying as the machine didn’t seem to actually dry anything. We’d highly recommend Seagulls restaurant (book in advance). Unassuming place but food was excellent. We also liked Platform for a Sunday roast and Rise for breakfast. The George was decent. If we’re back in West Bay, we’d definitely stay again.

Sally was a great host. We had clear instructions how to get there, where to park & get the keys. The flat is just as described but the view is even better. We had a great 2 day stay with everything we needed. Short walk to restaurants & beach front. Will definitely stay again.

We had a lovely two night stay at Little September Cottage. The food hamper was much appreciated, the hosts were very friendly and the apartment had everything we needed.

Great location, lots of lovely little touches which really made me feel welcome. Loved the monkey curtain holder in the bedroom! I’d definitely use again.

Lovely spacious apartment, everything you need. Close to the beach and other amenities. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Sam was a great host, very attentive and polite!

Caroline was most welcoming and hospitable. Her place was beautifully styled and immaculate, comfortable and more spacious than I thought it would be. Parking was also available close by. It was peaceful and only a 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants and 15 minutes to the beach. Thank you so much.

We are home after a Mon- Fri half term break at Admiral’s Watch, and we have had a wonderful time. Before we arrived we had clear directions from Nicky along with a really helpful list of recommendations for places to go with the kids. Getting to the property was easy and it was great to have a dedicated parking spot. The area is peaceful and completely beautiful. The small precinct of shops/ restaurants within the terrace was useful and didn’t intrude on our stay at all. The property itself is beautiful and just like the photos- the sea is right in front of the apartment making the views amazing. Nicky has styled the property beautifully and there was plenty of space for us as a family of four plus our dog. Activity wise I would recommend a trip to nearby Hurst Castle, and a meal at the Cliff House restaurant which was a short stroll away. Totally recommended, we had a great stay. Three of us and the dog stayed at David’s cottage and we had a wonderful time. The place was spotless when we entered, it was everything we needed. David was very communicative and helpful. We spent a lot of time in the garden as luckily the weather was in our favour and it was fenced in so the dog could run around with furniture for us to use. The cottage is in a perfect location, off of the main road so it was quiet and peaceful and just down the road from the sandbanks which we visited frequently. I highly recommend anyone interested in staying here I haven’t got a single fault! :)

Big house and garden in great location. Very clean and everything in working order, shower very powerful. Perfect location to walk to beach. Kate was very responsive and accommodating.

Within easy walking distance of everything in Poole. Very clean. Welcome pack was very welcome after a long drive and the pastries went down very well. An excellent base for visiting Poole and we would happily book again. Thanks Sue and David.

We have just returned from the most amazing week staying at the bolt hole. The house and location were just perfect and exactly what we needed for our two young energetic boys and dog. We spent plenty of time in the stunning garden and relaxing in the hot tub. Thank you so much Claire and Buster for making us feel so welcome and especially for allowing us to meet all of the animals. Freddie and Bertie will keep these memories for life and they are already missing playing with the dogs ( especially Fred ) and saying hello to Bernard every morning through the gate. We will definitely be back to stay again in the future.

Our international friends who were visiting from Sweden were very happy here. Everything they needed was supplied and the place was nice and tidy and clean. Peaceful quiet area only a short walk from the beach. Everything was disability friendly too.

We had the best of week's at April's cottage. it's very sweet and placed in a super location. All the facilities are as listed, the view is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. The cottage is well situated, and I highly recommend the fish shop which can be found at the top of the road two minutes walk away. We just had the most relaxing of stays and will definitely make a return visit.

Fabulous place, fantastic views from living room and master bedroom, perfect place. Such a great location just across the road from the beach and a few minutes walk from the harbour and town centre. The sound of the pebbles washing up the beach lulled us to sleep. Thank you Anna!

Walking distance to Westbourne and its charms. 5 mins drive from the stunning beach at Alum chine. I do not hesitate to recommend this fabulous apartment. Thank you Greta

I had a great stay in Rebecca’s flat. It’s clean and tidy and well stocked with all you could need for short and longer stays and with some lovely, complimentary goodies. The flat has its own dedicated parking space and the location offers easy access to local shops, cafes and restaurants and is within good access to the beach. Rebecca was flexible in amending my stay duration which I appreciated, thank you.

A very tasteful modern and pristine apartment with the most amazing views along the Jurassic Coast - what a place to relax. It is reasonably close to the beautiful town of Lyme Regis walking however the return journey is challenging and is not for everyone. It is so convenient though for the many walking routes in the area which we really enjoyed. Thanks Melanie and David for wonderful stay ( loved your new lawn mower David, we might have to get one too! )

Claire's apartment was lovely with beautiful views of the sea! All three of the bedrooms were huge with really comfy beds, our children loved the toy box and my daughter was particularly fond of a cushion with seagulls on it :) It was so great to have all the extras for staying with a baby and young children, including next-to-me cot, highchair, children's toilet seat and step and tableware. We loved the location, perfect for both a short walk to Alum Chine beach and a quick drive to Bournemouth Pier and the Aquarium. My daughter asked if we could come back every Father's Day! :D x

Sam's place was beautiful. My friends and I loved every moment at her place! The location and view is stunning, just a few minutes away from the beach and many other great spots. The apartment is so peaceful and spacious and the perfect place to wind down and relax. A perfect stay, we can't wait to visit again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Carley’s apartment. All directions and instructions were spot on and easy to follow. The apartment was perfect and the view is stunning, and everything we needed was thought of by Carley, who was also super helpful and friendly. We’d definitely recommend to anyone!

Lovely stay at Kathryn's flat. Myself and my two small boys spent 2 days here over half term and we had an amazing time. We found parking directly outside, we didn't need to move the car for our whole stay, everything was walking distance. Beach, restraunts, Pier, parks, cinema etc. The flat had all the amenities we needed and it was like a home away from home. I will be sure ti book again next year! Sash
