Tucked away on the outskirts of sleepy Lympsham, enjoy the countryside around you whilst resting your legs after walking the renowned mendips. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. A converted barn at Cann Common next to the main house with its own garden, patio and parking area. Located on a no-through road with only local residents traffic, giving a peaceful setting with views of the surrounding hills. Shaftesbury just over a mile with its historic Gold Hill and a good choice of shops and places to eat. It is a good base for exploring the area, offering historic houses, interesting gardens, walks, the Jurassic Coast, Stonehenge, Salisbury and Bath and much more.

A tranquil place in beautiful countryside. This Shepherds Hut, in its own garden, is overlooking a meadow. Designed for relaxation, many quirky furnishings are made by the craftsman owners. This rural region is an under-appreciated delight. Ideal for walking, cycling, painting, historic houses, gardens, Messums Gallery and Wardour castle. Wonderful selection of pubs locally, a choice for each night’s stay. Breakfast is laid out in the orangery, all home made (told it is “scoffable”).

PLEASE NOTE: The annex has 2 double bedrooms which need to be booked separately. Each double bedroom sleeps 2 guests, so to use both rooms please select 3-4 guests. If one double room is booked the other will be locked and not used. Our bright and sunny annex has 2 spacious double bedrooms with 2 superking size beds that can also be split into 4 single beds if requested. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, one with a bath and shower, the other with a shower.
