Had a two night stay at Ruth’s.fantastic quirky comfortable place.great host with excellent local knowledge.i can recommend the dog and partridge located opposite.

The cottage was beautifully and tastefully decorated and equipped with modern kitchenware and thoughtful touches. Lucy was very flexible regarding our early arrival time and talked us through our concerns about the hilly nature of the walk down to the river. Our neighbours and everyone in the village was friendly with tea rooms and pubs and shops all within walking distance. The 10 minute drive to Bakewell and larger supermarkets was easy. Parking was not always easy but we usually found a space and if not, found the Car Park available about 5 mins walk away for a suggested contribution. June 21-28 was Well Dressing week - same time of year every year - and we wish we had been aware of this when we booked. We loved our trips to nearby Eyam, Edale, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

What a lovely cottage! The views were spectacular! My daughters and I took many pictures of the countryside and of the adorable sheep grazing nearby. The cottage was perfect for resting up and refreshing between our trips to the Chatsworth House and Gardens. Richard's place has a lovely blend of feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere yet being only a 15 drive into thriving Buxton. It was warm, comfortable and a great size for a family get-together, with some amazing walks literally on your doorstep. We can all genuinely say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Pigeon Loft Cottage was just as described, a very cute and cosy home away from home. The cottage was very easy to find following Susie’s directions and there is ample parking at the property as well as around the area. The check in was delayed by an hour or so due to us booking an extra night but Susie was extremely apologetic and did her best to get the cottage ready as quick as she could and allowed us to leave our shopping in the fridge during. Although she was trying to get it ready quickly, the cottage was still very clean and tidy when we did check in. The rest of the trip was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay :)

We had a great stay at Paul's house. We found everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The house is very well equipped and the surroundings are peaceful. There was always space to park in front of the house. The weather was warm, so we were able to enjoy the beautiful garden full of flowers. Paul was always proactive and very responsive whenever we needed anything. We totally recommend staying at his place!

Beautiful caravan in a stunning location Ashbourne heights caravan park is lovely, very well maintained. Spotlessly clean throughout, comfortable and cosy, decking with chairs is a great addition especially with the weather we had. Walking from the door step, we did Thor’s cave circular and stepping stones, tissington trail is just off the site entrance so no need to drive anywhere. Honestly one of the best family weekends we have had will be booking again in the future ❤️

Beautiful cottage set in wonderful grounds with a playhouse for the little ones. The pool was great too. Such a great place to stay, and under 10 minutes from Ashbourne. Around 30 mins to kid friendly hiking/walking in the Dales. Highly recommend.

Outstanding in every way. This cottage is worth more than 5* it simply cannot be beat. We have been to a lot of nice properties but Richard and Jo have made this property and their 16 acre land simply beautiful. Very nice people as well.

Absolutely superb break away in Lokis Lodge. Stunning interior and truly home from home . Location is also immaculate and great for your fur babies country walks. We had a very restful break and will be returning to explore what we hadn’t got time to see ! Sarah is an amazing host xxx

We had a wonderful stay at Annabel’s and will definitely be going back asap! It was perfectly peaceful with gorgeous surroundings and was even better than the pictures! The pool was much bigger than we thought and was such a joy to have, the decking area was huge with stunning views and the garden truly magical! This was great value for money! Annabel was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly and the animals were all very friendly too! The cats didn’t come to close though as we had our dog, who had a dream just roaming free! Thanks Annabel, be back soon !

This place was fantastic. Beautiful renovation of a chapel. Our kids absolutely loved the large jacuzzi and I loved the sauna. It’s a pity we spend just the one night Would recommend highly.

What a find, Tracy was an incredible host and the Annex had real charm as well as being clean, comfortable and well equipped. It’s in a super location with glorious views and the large secure garden was ideal for my small dog during what was a very hot evening. I would very highly recommend to anyone who wants a friendly , charming place to stay…even if you don’t have a dog! Great value for money.

We had a lovely family break at Caroline’s Lodge. The setting is beautiful and we really enjoyed the access to, otherwise, private land for lovely walks and visiting Staunton Harold courtyard. The lodge itself had everything we needed. It is very comfortable and the kitchen is extremely well equipped with plenty of crockery and utensils for 6 people. Many thanks for the welcome cake and bottle of wine in the fridge they were a lovely touch which we appreciated. We have had family breaks like this over the last three years and Caroline’s place is the best so far. We would love to return.

Spacious, dog-friendly, open-plan apartment in beautiful area. Close to M1 but not disturbed by it. Warm welcome from owners Sharon, David and Dexter dog. Comfy bed, great shower, small but adequate kitchen facilities (fridge, microwave and Nespresso machine.) Very good fit for a couple like us plus our small terrier dog. Sleeping arrangements not ideal for a larger group of adults as double sofa bed is in same room as main bed. Good if accompanied by young childten. Deers visible from appt window in Bradgate park opposite house and amazing variety of birdlife in owners garden and seen when walking in park. Several cafes and gastro pubs within walking distance. A very good find.

A wonderful, spacious house. Extremely comfortable furniture and everything that is required for your stay. Plenty of little extras to ensure your trip is carefree. 2 welcoming local pubs within a slow 15 minute wander. Both providing hearty meals. We only tried The Crown, food was lovely. A highly recommended retreat to explore the local area.

First time I’ve used Airbnb and am I glad to stay we were fortunate enough to stay at Katie’s cottage! It was exactly as described, 100% accurate in terms of the pictures and the host (Katie) herself was a genuine, amazing soul! Not many things are perfect, however this was as close to perfect if it’s what you’re looking for! Loved it!

This was our second stay here. It was as perfect as the first time, exceptionally clean and exactly what we needed. The bread, milk, OJ, cookies and butter were a very nice touch too! Will be back again!

We were absolutely happy with our stay! The cottage was exactly as described – very clean, well-equipped, and surrounded by a beautiful, peaceful garden. The shower was fantastic, and everything we needed was there. Julie and her parents were always available, very friendly, and helpful – we couldn’t have asked for more. One small suggestion: it might be helpful to include the bed width in the listing, especially for "bigger, taller or larger" ;-) guests. Still, a wonderful place to relax – highly recommend.

Our one night stay at Pauline's place was ideally suited for an event at Darley Moor. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and the shower was particularly good. Pauline communicated well with us and even let us know we could arrive a little bit earlier if needed. We were on the edge of what looked like a lovely village so it was really nice and quiet.
