The surrounding nature provides a stunning and peaceful refuge. You feel as though you're a million miles away. And yet town is only a 5 minute drive, allowing access to anything you might need during your stay. We consider our land a sacred, healing place. Before we built on this property we gave special homage to the Native peoples, and asked for blessings from the spirits to live here. We have discovered grinding rocks, shards of Chinese pottery, and ancient fire pits on the land.

Guest, Thor Arnold 2024 Yosemite Shuteye is as it sounds; a most private out-of-the-way delight of two parts - the yurt connected by cedar decking to a hand-hewn cookhouse with an airy 3/4-bath and a fully stocked kitchen. A seasonal fire pit is a favorite place to star gaze and eat smores to your hearts content. Quiet and very comfortable. The space is yours and yours alone. Very private and not shared!

Situated on five beautiful mixed wooded and landscaped, primarily flat acres on a hill overlooking Tomales Bay, this cozy, private cottage is one of several structures comprising the beautiful and famous Van der Ryn Ecorefuge, created by the renowned ecological architect Sim Van der Ryn.

Drive up to your own private, paved and gated driveway to a home with a panoramic view of redwood and oak ridges. It's a sunny location, all day long. Perfect for one or two people. You have private river access located next to the Strawhouse Cafe’ across the street where you can swim, fish, relax, and/or hike nearby trails. The kitchen has a mini fridge, air fryer, toaster oven, induction plate & microwave and is stocked with cups, plates, silverware, etc. Charcoal BBQ is in share area outside.
