Holiday rentals with a kayak in Northumberland Strait

Very responsive hosts, beautiful cottage and grounds. Everything was as described, there was a nice welcome basket on the counter when we arrived. We had a great stay, would stay here again. We also were given early check in and check out which was a nice bonus :)

We really enjoyed our time in the cottage and would love to return in the summer for a longer stay!

The Yellow Tent Cottage was a great stay for our group trip. Andrew provided amazing accommodations and hospitality. Definitely visit again if we are in the area.

It was even better than we expected! Very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and more!! Carolyn was always very quick to reply!

Our extended family of 8 were disappointed to to leave Blue Heron as it is a home and location that could be grand central for our day-to-day family lifestyle. Jeff and Anita offer an exceptionally clean and fully provisioned home that works in any maritime weather. The high standard of cleanliness, generous inventory of spices, coffee and consumables, high quality of linens and textiles encouraged us to respect and care for the house as if it was our own. The television and sound systems are up to date and the internet service very reliable. When not relaxing after dinners, we kayaked, walked the fields, and roasted marshmallows over an open backyard fire-pit. We all slept well in comfortably spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage space and privacy. The sunroom off the primary main floor bedroom was perfect for morning coffee and reading. We left some prescriptions behind and Jeff kindly mailed them to us. This was a thoughtful and extraordinary effort. Thank you Jeff and Anita!

We had an amazing stay at Kerry-Lynn’s beautiful house. The house is very comfortable and has all the amenities inside and outside that we needed/wanted. It is on a beautiful beach making for a perfect location for swimming, paddle boarding, a campfire and drinks on the deck. Our 2 adult children and their partners joined us for 3 of our 6 days and all agreed it’s a perfect location with lots of room for a family getaway.

Truly a little piece of paradise, perfect spot to unwind and watch the herons fly by!

Great host and great place to stay! This place has everything you could need for a peaceful stay by the water. Would definitely stay here again! We felt right at home :)

We loved our stay at Angela’s place! The peace and quiet were so good. At the same time it’s not far to Charlottetown. Would highly recommend!

Sandpiper was a perfect place for our party of four. The location on PEI’s north shore was lovely with lots of beach to walk. It was also nice to relax on the front porch and look out at the lobster boats on the ocean. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom are very convenient for those with mobility issues. We took several day trips to both the east and west of our location and throughly enjoyed the beautiful countryside, shopping and fresh seafood. Patrick was very quick to respond to our inquiries ensuring we had all things necessary for an amazing week at his place.

We booked Lisa’s place hoping for some serious rest and together time for our family. Absolutely the most peaceful getaway we have ever had. The home was well stocked and comfortable. Everything was labeled so there was no brain space taken up to figure out how things work or where things were. Lisa was so extremely kind and I am pretty sure her response time is 15 seconds. We would love to return.

I can't say enough about this place! It was VERY peaceful and private with a gorgeous sand beach right at the doorstep. We wondered why it was called 'Seal Rock House' until we woke up one morning and saw the seals!!! We spent hours watching them and it was a highlight of our tour around the province. The house was spotless, had comfy beds, and we loved the design. We felt at home. Christoph was an amazing host. He was very friendly and left great info about the surrounding area, plus some menus we ordered from quite frequently! An incredible place to stay and an extremely reasonable price! Very highly recommended!!!!!

We stayed 2 nights at the Potter Homestead, 3 couples in total. Lot's of space, all the amenities were there and was a great base to visit some of the local sites and attractions. Lot's of great character in the cottage.

We loved our stay. Right on the water, beautiful cozy place with many activities. Would love to come again. Vanessa was great, very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Great little oasis. Very quite and private with close proximity to Charolettetown. Very clean. Stayed for 5 nights , had everything we needed , with extras included like games. Kayaks,and a fire pit. We throughly enjoyed the peace after a day of exploring. We were quite intrigued by the “bug away” , spent hours dicusing what it was, and even sought out to buy multiple to bring back to Newfoundland. Would book again!

This cozy cottage on the water was everything my family and I could have asked for! Tracey and Randall made vacationing EASY with having everything we could need right there. We had great communication from the start making checkin quick! This vacation rental really felt like home! Great kitchen with everything you’d need, perfect sized bathroom/laundry room, and a great deck to sit on and admire the view! We used the outdoor shower lots to help wash off after a day at the beach. We also had a fire and s’mores one night! The paddle board, canoe and kayaks were a bonus that we took advantage of and toured around on the water with my family. Nothing but positive things to say! Look forward to staying here again!

We had a lovely stay at Beachcombers - a tranquil, idyllic spot on the island. Brenda was a friendly and responsive host who made us feel right at home, including welcoming us with cookies! The cottage is thoughtfully designed, well maintained and comfortable. Great for a couple or a small family.

Absolutely stunning place to stay in a beautiful spot just steps from a lake that you can do lots of fishing in! If you stay I hope you have the pleasure of actually meeting Lyndy because she is so kind hearted (she also makes amazing cookies that was in the bunkie when we arrived)!

We absolutely loved our stay! The listing was exactly as described (or maybe even a bit better). We felt right at home, if our home were in a gorgeous field on a cliff to the ocean. Walks in the morning with the pup were very peaceful. Can’t wait to come back.

We enjoyed our stay at Troy's cottage. We didn't use the bikes and kayaks (though we planned to) but we did use the parks pass many times. Thank you for the yummy treats upon arrival. it was a wonderful central location for exploring the island. It was a quick drive to the beach to enjoy the sunset. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to be able to do laundry.

Absolutely outstanding cottage. Very clean, peaceful, great spot right on the water. Host was extremely friendly and helpful. No issues whatsoever, everything was perfect. A great location from which to explore beautiful PEI! Highly recommended!

The Islander Lodge was everything we could have wanted for our stay. The location is very rural (42 kms outside Antigonish in mostly cottage country), the "cottage" is really a log house ( a beauty), modern, immaculate and pristine. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck under the stars and listening to the hoots of owls nearby. We didn't use the kayaks but they are provided along with life jackets. The beautiful lodge is exactly as described,inside and out. It's magazine gorgeous and had everything we needed. We had loads of privacy and were reassured the host would be around if needed. My only two suggestions would be to bring your own drinking water as this area has very hard water. And don't forget your security code instructions (ha) so you dont inadvertently get locked out. ( my wife has a good memory thankfully ha). We HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend these exceptional accommodations in West Lochaber.
