Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Northwest Indiana

My wife and I have stayed at many vacation home rentals over the years, this one was one of the very best! First, I booked they house late afternoon on the day we wanted to arrive. Sarah responded immediately, accepted our booking and got me the access code to the property. It was all done within a few minutes! The house was beautifully decorated (my wife loved it and she is a designer!), well appointed and located very conveniently to all of the places we wanted to spend our time. We loved the hot tub, used the sauna almost every morning and our Golden Doodle loved the big fenced in back yard. Sarah and Brady are unbelievably responsive to needs too! One evening we wanted to enjoy the fire pit, but they were out of fire starters. I contacted Sarah at 7:36p, she responded at 7:37p and by 7:51 Brandy had already dropped a box of fire starters on the front porch! What?!?!?! Amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this place, we will be back!

This property is great -- nice quiet neighborhood close to town. It is a comfortable home that looks brand new. Ami is a great host. Very responsive and easy to communicate with. I had a medical issue come up during my short stay and was able to easily and quickly extend my stay. Everything about my stay in this Airbnb was more than perfect and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay here.

This exquisite MCM GEM in Berwyn was the perfect home base for us while visiting Chicago. Every corner is curated with unique and authentic MCM touches, all with the contemporary creature comforts one could want and then some. Everything was sparkling clean and April was a superb host. We hope to come again, & highly recommend!!

Place was as advertised, not much to complain about at all. Easy to find, clear communications, clean place. Only criticism I’d have is there is no closet/drawer space in the first bedroom, would recommend putting a nightstand or something in there if possible. Thanks Brooke!

The excellent taste of the hosts sets this rental apart from the rest. The decor in the home is beautifully curated. When you combine that with the views, it's a perfect vacation spot! We were grateful to be able to return for our fourth visit to Charles and Jeremy's home. Thank you for sharing it with us--we love it!

We stayed for almost a week with three dogs. Sarah's place was perfect for our needs - great backyard, comfortable beds, clean and equipped kitchen, and awesome location - close to Chicago, Indiana dunes and easy to navigate thru, no traffic. Sarah and her family (and their amazing dog Chandler) are super friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again once back in the area.

The quiet privacy, the beautiful lake and nearby nature preserve was exactly what we needed for renewal. We brought our food and had everything in the furnished kitchen to prepare our own meals. When we need to escape the busy pace of life and just be still, we'll be back!

Beautiful home, comfortable beds, sheets, blankets. Kitchen is well stocked. Large table for games. Everyone in the group said they would come back.

This place was amazing for our family vacation. The goal was to spend family time together & there was plenty for us all to do. Lots of outdoor activities in nature! The beach was great for adult hang-out & games of spike ball (which we brought), & fun in the sand for the kids. Loved our pontoon boat rides & campfires as well. The indoor pool was great anytime day & night & was always a good back up in case it we had rain. The common areas were large enough for us to all have space & there was plenty of sleeping room. We had an amazing time & will definitely revisit. Ryan was courteous & quick to respond. Absolutely loved this trip!

We stayed on the third floor of the complex and enjoyed Matthew's attention to detail. He gave a lot of thought to all components of his property.

Great stay! Loved the pool and lanai. Had fun playing the board games from the 80s and 90s. Great, well equipped kitchen - even a blender for smoothies! Linens were amazingly comfortable.

We had a lovely family reunion at St Joe’s overlook. Kitchen came with literally everything- all sorts of cooking instruments (crock pot, air fryer, toaster etc), spices/oils, and zip lock bags for leftovers. All brand new appliances and ample prep space. We got the pool heated and it was wonderful! Very large size to fit all the family kids. The hot tub was a nice save for the adults who were freezing. Beautiful views from the living room of the river with ample and comfy seating. The home was perfect for a large gathering. We appreciate Evan and Claire hosting us they were always responsive and helpful.

Lovely home, many well thought out perks like fans in upstairs rooms and beach toys for kids! Info said it was an easy short walk to beach so I spent a whole lot more than I usually would. With children it would not be pleasant and is really not a short walk (and is on a semi busy road) & beach is down a whole lot of steps. BUT there are parking spaces so it was fine. Within the house, the steps are fairly steep at parts & there are 2?big ones going into house &!these were hard for my 70 year old mom w knee issues. So if person reading reviews is one of those people, this might not be THE place. That being said, it is very short walk to community pool & host is very responsive & house is beautiful! My mom mostly stayed within first floor including an awesome bed/bath on ground floor. There are games (although I didn’t love the Ouija board 🫣😂) . This would be a great place for multiple family / friends to split cost ;) Its very beautiful & community pool & hot tub are great!

This is our 5th year of vacationing in New Buffalo and have stayed at Missy's place on 3 of those visits! The house works beautifully for our family (7 adults and 4 kids under 6 yo) and you're never tripping over each other, which makes it so relaxing! We'll be back!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jennifer’s house! It was clean, great location & cozy! We especially loved the automatic pool cover so we could actually relax on vacation with our little ones running around. I also loved the three separate areas outside (pool, fire pit, grassy area). The separate areas offered a nice change of scenery to break up the day without leaving the house. I also loved that it’s a spacious ranch style house, so was easy to keep eyes on the kids. Jennifer was a wonderful & accommodating host & can’t wait to get back to her house soon! Thanks for having us!

My husband and I booked this stay for our anniversary, and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind in the countryside. We live in Indianapolis, where our neighborhood can sometimes be a bit noisy, so we were looking for a peaceful getaway—and this was exactly what we needed. The pool house was quiet, beautifully designed, and felt like a true retreat. We really enjoyed the spacious pool, and the provided towels were a thoughtful convenience. Small touches like shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom and a high-definition TV made our stay especially comfortable. We also loved spending time in the sauna—it was the perfect way to end a relaxing day. The animals on the property were very cute.

My family and I had a lovely summer Indiana Dunes weekend at Jill’s place. The house was clean, cozy, and well-stocked. We loved the bikes and covered back porch. It was nice to be right on the Calumet trail, in biking distance to beaches. We took a 25 minute drive to Garwood’s and came home with a boatload of strawberries, and took a beautiful sunset dip in Lake Michigan. Thanks for the fun weekend!

Beautiful country setting, close to towns for shopping and sight seeing. Very clean and tidy, cozy home. Friendly and helpful host!

It was nice, the host is kind, and the location is peaceful. It's like an adventure. The RV is clean, and well kept, and has the best view of the tree and horses alike. Our mastiffs went up to look at the horses and they did not spook. The horses seem tame and happy. The RV also has a nice deck, and a swing for a great view of the sunset. The bed is very comfortable and check out is flexible, communication with the host is awesome. We accidentally took the key, and the host was very understanding of it. Peaceful spot at the end of the state street. Will def come back.

This was ur second stay at Andrew’s and it didn’t disappoint. He worked with us last minute to make a reservation so we had somewhere to stay. A friend of ours passed away and we didn’t have a lot of planning time. We love that the place has a pack n play, high chair, and some kids toys & dishes. Things like that make a stay with children much smoother. Thanks again for another great experience.

If you're looking for an adorable loft in a super walkable neighborhood, look no further. I appreciate how clean and organized Lisa's place was, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed to cook. I love the little touches of whimsy all around the place (you'll see em). I had to extend my stay and Lisa was quick to respond and assist me. I'd love to visit again!

My wife, our dog and I stayed at the farmhouse for a long weekend to relax away from the city. It was the perfect country escape- peaceful, tranquil and still a quick drive to everything we wanted to explore. We mostly went to New Buffalo for restaurants and kayaking, and to the Indiana Dunes for hiking. The farmhouse was tastefully decorated with upscale amenities (like the coffee maker we decided to purchase when we got home). Mornings were spent reading on the screened in porch, listening to the birds and watching the chickens outside. There’s plenty of seating if you have a larger group, with tables inside and outside for meals. Stefanie was a wonderful host, her guidebook has great recommendations of things to do in the area and she gave very helpful instructions for the house. We definitely hope to return sometime as it’s so close to Chicago! Perfect weekend trip.
