The Stable, 1700s log cabin by the lake with sauna

A small log cabin on a historic crofter's farm by Follsjø – a lake for swimming and fishing. The Stable sits slightly tucked away from the four other timber buildings on the property, surrounded by a wildflower meadow and grazing sheep. A newly renovated bathroom with shower and toilet is in the barn, just 15 metres away. Outside, a lovely seating area with a grill awaits. The area is made for hiking, fishing, swimming and quiet days. Canoes at your own risk; wood-fired sauna available to rent.

A solar panel provides the power you need. Water is collected from a well 500 meters from the cabin. The shower is connected to an electric pump. You have to heat the water in advance to take a hot shower. Call. The cabin heater can be turned on in advance during the winter. Remember to bring your own bed linen and towel.

This is a studio with its own entrance, full bathroom and good bed. A five-minute quiet stroll takes you up to Campus Notodden, University of Southeast Norway. Five minutes the other way takes you to the grocery store. If you are a student or employee and need accommodation at the gathering, this place is absolutely perfect.
