A peaceful and cozy stay just outside the town of Garfield. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and very quiet — perfect for those looking to escape and unwind. The location is ideal: only a 5-minute drive to the top of Steptoe Butte for breathtaking sunrises. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Palouse region, especially if you want solitude, beautiful views, and open skies.

We were only there for a very brief time to participate in a family celebration nearby. Everything was as expected, and Garfield and the surrounding area are lovely in spring.

This place was amazing! The views are indescribablely beautiful. The house was bery clean and well kept. I felt right at home. She was very responsive if I messaged her. It was a great experience front to back. Very reasonable price for the place. Absolutely amazing. I would love to go back.

Staying at the Hilty Hideaway is a beautiful experience. From the gorgeous views to the stunning decor and the yummy snacks provided. We had a small hiccup with a broken bed frame that the host was unaware of but her and her husband did their best to try and fix it to accommodate us. Not only that, they refunded two nights of our stay due to the inconvenience of the broken bed frame. I am so grateful for their service and generosity. We look forward to visiting again in the future.
