This location is a duplex and my sister and I previously stayed in the upstairs unit. I thought we’d miss the view from up there, but honestly, I really enjoyed the lower unit more. It’s smaller but cozy and still enough space for two people (who know each other well). It’s not too tight and the kitchen (huge fridge and lots of counter space!) the bedroom and the bathroom were just the right size. There’s also great amenities and the water gets nice and hot. You will hear people walking around upstairs and there’s a train that’s nearby, but for the most part, it’s otherwise peaceful and quiet. And downtown Ferndale is a beautiful place with a lot of activity/sights to see. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

This home is very nice and unique being that it’s made of shipping containers. The decor was awesome and everything looks just like the pictures. There are a lot of stores and restaurants in the area, which was very convenient. Aaron was an awesome host. He was very responsive and friendly. Being that this was our first time staying at an Airbnb, Aaron made my husband and I feel very comfortable. Our stay was amazing.

Erica and Brian are the perfect hosts, thoughtful, organized and extremely responsive! Their place is wonderful and has everything you need for your stay. I was there for over a month and everything was great and made me feel like I was at home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, the location is so convenient and comfortable. Aj has a wonderfully cute and cozy apartment nestled in a vibrant neighborhood community. There are many small businesses very close by that have so much to offer. This was my first trip to Detroit and i will be coming back and hopefully staying here again.

The beach access was incredible for quiet mornings. Well stocked with things to do, it was a joy to watch the other renters take the boats out to fish and relax. The neighbors were all friendly, the neighborhood a short and sweet walk. It was an incredible stay, we ended up extending because we weren't ready to leave! Loved the fully equipped kitchen and though we didn't utilize it, free laundry facilities are always a plus for lake vacations (no more smelly bathing suits on the way home!) The thermostat was straightforward and the wifi connection was strong. No complaints here!

Fadi’s place was very cozy! It had a great set up for someone traveling alone like me for a couple of days. It even had a desk in the bedroom where I was able to do my work which I really appreciated. I was a little worried about booking because I saw the AC complaints, BUT. The AC unit does work and kept the place cool during my stay!! :) I enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again for my next visit!

My husband and I were in Davisburg for the Antique show. This was a perfect comfortable place to relax after hours of walking. Had both hot coffee and hot tea available which was lovely. Also loved the mattress which we are now shopping for. Only thing if stayed again would prefer the downstairs unit over the upstairs. Stairs were creaky!

BOOK THIS PLACE!! we LOVED this airbnb!! Great place and great host! This place exceeded my expectations! I was afraid with me being 7 months pregnant, that the bed wouldn't be comfortable and i was so WRONG. The bed was more comfy than my own bed at home! I would most definitely stay here again!

Overall nice place

This is is great place and super clean. So close to down town if you don’t want to walk a little Uber rides were only 5-7 dollars . Can’t beat this place for royal oak adventures

Nice cozy spot within walking distance of downtown Royal Oak. Not overly fancy, but the host includes everything you might need, even clothes washer & dryer. It was clean and well kept. Higher in price compared to some of the nearby Airbnbs, but a little less than the hotels. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Royal Oak. There’s 2 units, so others were staying in the other one, didn’t cause any issues. Our unit felt private.

Our stay was very peaceful! The area is perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. It was very clean and welcoming. We had to drive a little more than wheat we expected but we were ok with that. The hosts were very responsive and polite. I definitely would stay again!

We really enjoyed our 4 days at Dana’s. Birmingham is a beautiful neighborhood, very sweet neighbors. Dana’s place was very comfortable, shower was hot, small kitchen was perfect to prepare breakfast. We would definitely feel lucky to stay here again.

Had a great stay. The place was easy to find, and having a carport was very convenient. Check-in was easy, and there were lots of amenities and shopping within a 15-minute drive. Would recommend!

Stayed for a night and caught a show at royal oaks theater. I couldn’t not recommend this spot more. A few bucks more than a hotel room but so worth it. Insanely close to so many things, great spots to eat and drink, a market next door, quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable and private inside, cool basement vibes.
