Freihof - Chez Annemarie

The historic Freihof from 1782 is an outstanding example of the rural building culture of the 18th century. The farmhouse, which is under national protection, was extensively renovated in 2022 in accordance with historical preservation standards. Great importance was attached to the preservation of the historical building fabric, while at the same time a contemporary use was made possible. Today, the building houses three independent apartments, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern living comfort.

The apartment is on the ground floor (without threshold) with a separate entrance, private bathroom & kitchen. The idyllic Flühmatt farm is located at 850 meters above sea level nestled in the hilly landscape at the gateway to the Emmental. The region is ideally suited for hikes to the Ahorn, the Hinterarni or the Napf region. The popular Heart Route leads cyclists just a few meters past the house. Charming apartment at the entrance of the Emmental

Rural and yet not far from any civilization lies our small living and garden dream. The old stone house is located in Ersigen near Burgdorf BE, a twenty-minute drive from Bern. In the village there is a café, three restaurants and a farm store. The bus to the nearest major shopping facility leaves every 30 minutes during the day. We occupy the second floor of the house and rent two rooms with kitchen and bathroom on the first floor. We are happy to answer any questions you may have!
