What a true respite from the hustle and bustle. Although the lodgings were somewhat humble, everything was comfortable and the setting was amazing! The grounds of the property are a true oasis of Hawaiian flora - ask for the tour! Amazing and knowledgable hosts who so graciously honored this request.

Lovely place! It’s deep in the woods so it’s perfect for us as it’s quiet and away from noise and the crowds. The last ~0.2 mile was a bit rough, but we managed it with a mustang lol. What I enjoyed the most was sitting outside when it was raining. Enjoying the orchestra from nature.

Exactly what you would expect. Peaceful, beautiful, and a lovely escape from the daily grind. Unfortunately, it was dry enough that we didn’t get to see the waterfalls, but we could tell that they would be absolutely gorgeous under normal conditions. In general, you want a four-wheel-drive on the big island, and probably something along the lines of a Jeep Wrangler. There are some things that Keith told us about that we were interested in doing, but the vehicle we had wasn’t able to do them. We were able to spend an evening chatting with Keith and it was a great time. He has a lot of good ideas and hidden places to find on the island so you should really ask him about them. Ultimately, this was our favorite stay when we were in Hawaii, both because it was peaceful and quiet, but also because of the ability to get away from the bustle and grind of the rest of the island. The weather for us was beautiful and mosquitoes weren’t a problem. The mosquito coils provided worked wonders. App

I had a lovely stay at Boonaview at The Victoria. The place was just as described—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Ruth was a wonderful host—very responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout the stay. I really appreciated her clear communication and warm hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

One of our favorite spots to get away. We come stay as often as we can. It’s a magical place and Jacklynn is so kind. Her property is incredible. Cabins are spotless and so cozy.

Our stay at the cottage was everything we hoped for and more. The surrounding were absolutely beautiful. The view of the landscape from the back patio was so peaceful and the botanical garden was easily accessible and provided a place of relaxation. You are centrally located to all excursions and some of the top rated restaurants and bakery.

Bombah Point Eco Cottages were everything we hoped it would be. Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable... We had such a lovely stay. Wandered the orchard. Enjoyed freshly laid eggs for breakfast. Sliced ruby grapefruit from the tree into our gin cocktails. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Thank you for having us.

Extra ordinary in all aspects ! Staff is excellent, food really good. Sleeping in Cobra with your “adult” kids is an experience I wish everybody could live. Very reasonable prices… I hope nothing changes as the accommodation is all over Insta.

Bec’s place was a gorgeous spot to completely switch off, reflect and recharge on a working farm. The house was well equipped to enjoy our time outdoors and take refuge from the winter cold indoors. The perfect place to take it comfortably back to basics and reset!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Blak Shak. We were in town for a wedding & wanted our own separate space to escape from family & wedding chaos & this place was the perfect retreat. The entire space is beautifully decorated & they used the space well. The views of the forest & all the greenery both inside & out really added to the tranquility of the space. What really set it over the top was the quality of the amenities. It was evident in every aspect—from the Dyson hair dryer and bathroom products to the cocktail supplies and glassware. Emily was incredibly helpful & flexible when we encountered travel challenges & had to change our check-in time multiple times. She left us a welcome basket with snacks & wine which was so wonderful after all the travel. On top of that, she was kind enough to give us a some money back when our flights got us so delayed we arrived a whole day late. That extra bit of kindness was so nice after such a challenging travel experience.

A Beautiful and Peaceful Stay in Carmel Our stay in Carmel was absolutely beautiful. It felt like we were miles away from Perth thanks to the peaceful, serene atmosphere. The home itself was stunning - cozy and welcoming, especially with the fire adding warmth and charm to the space. The fresh eggs, fruit, and milk were a lovely farmhouse touch that made the stay even more special. We highly recommend this home for anyone looking to relax and unwind in a tranquil setting.

We had an amazing stay at Jazmine and Wilson’s place. The house is secluded and surrounded by nature. It’s super cosy and got all the amenities needed. We could see how much effort they put into maintaining the house to such a high standard and all the attention to details. Everything was spotless. We enjoyed a warm bonfire night under the starry sky. And we got to meet the lambs and goats Pepper and Ginger! The pancake recipe by Jazmine was also absolutely delicious. Can’t recommend this place more and will definitely come back for another stay in the future!

It doesn’t get much better! Gorgeous, thought out cabin with picturesque views over the farmlands. The spots to sit, relax & enjoy the sunrises & sunsets were endless. Too many special touches to name. We didn’t even get to pick up our own books as there were too many great ones on offer! Perfect time of the year to relax by the fire pit or fire place inside, enjoy the heated pool, Kurui cabin offers it all! A definite must! Two nights wasn’t enough, lucky we’re local. A relaxing, peaceful space for a short break away. Plenty of walks and activities nearby. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

This trip was a birthday get away for myself and my mother. Everything was described perfectly and provided exactly what we were looking for. We only spent 2 nights but immediately felt relaxed after settling in on the Friday. Kavita and Arif were wonderful hosts and allowed us to feed and pet the animals on our last day. We definitely will be back!

A Hidden Gem in Makawao – Truly Unforgettable I had an absolutely amazing time staying at Sydney’s cottage in Makawao. From the moment I arrived, the space felt warm and inviting—a true home away from home. The cottage is cozy, beautifully kept, and surrounded by serene, peaceful landscapes that instantly put you at ease. One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible connection to nature. The surrounding wildlife made it feel like I was truly one with the land, offering moments of quiet reflection and a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty of the area. Sydney is a phenomenal host. Her warmth and hospitality go above and beyond. She gave me a tour of the property and shared a thoughtful and informative history of both the land and local island culture. That experience made me feel less like a tourist and more like a welcomed guest in a very special place. This was an authentic, peaceful, and enriching escape. I can’t recommend this stay enough—thank you Sydney.

We had a great time at Jo’s place. It had everything you could ask for in an Airbnb. Highly recommend!

We stayed 2 nights and had an amazing weekend with our family of 5 with 3 kids under 4. From the fully stocked pantry, modern kitchen and bathroom and plenty of room of the place to even accommodating us with 2 high chairs for our twins. Andrew was great with communication and we had hours of fun with Roxie the dog playing ball, eating marshmallows by the fire pit and. The view over the mountains was incredible during sunrise and sunset just sitting next to the fireplace and relaxing. We can’t wait to come back again soon!

We had the most magical stay here! It was exactly as advertised - secluded, romantic and felt like a world away. There were personalised touches which were so appreciated and made our stay so special. We'll be coming back!

Absolutely lovely place! - View is incredible - Kitchen has everything you need - All amenities worked perfectly - Fast wifi - Large bathtub and shower (with a great view) - Very warm and comfortable house we even got to watch the Aurora Borealis whilst sitting around the fire, an unforgettable experience!

We had a wonderful time! The place was beautiful, the view is like no other… I have never seen a view more beautiful than this one. We had an issue with the oven but Alice was so quick to respond and help and was very friendly and polite. Would definitely want to go back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Halcyon Cottage. The views are breathtaking, and the accommodation was spacious, clean and had a beautiful fireplace. We were treated with fresh egg, bacon, milk and a bottle of wine. The farm animals were also right by our window which was gorgeous to watch. We really loved the weekend here, thank you!
