Lake house holiday rentals in Old Forge

House was clean and my family enjoyed the stay and were comfortable. It would have been good if we had some camp fire materials in the house itself. Since we have been used to other airbnb places that had the materials in house, and we had some places to visit, it was difficult to purchase them in our busy schedule. Having them in house would help for future guests. the checkin, checkout and other amenities were all great!! the host was very responsive and helpful.

This home was absolutely beautiful and the photos do not do it justice! It’s perfectly placed on the Great Sacandaga Lake with incredibly easy access to have fun out on the lake! The home was pristine and had absolutely everything you could think of needing in the kitchen!

This house has plenty of cooking and grilling utilities, good air conditioning, and was just as beautiful and clean as it looked in the photos. It was a beautiful and quiet neighborhood and our family enjoyed using the two kayaks provided in the garage. The host was very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come again.

I was here for a fall visit so could not take full advantage of the wonderful lake location but would love to come back in the summer to fully enjoy this location. We did have the chance to go on an afternoon kayak which was great fun and absolutely beautiful with the fall foliage! The kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans and utensils as well as a few spices. We cooked a lot and I brought all ingredients and condiments I needed and I would recommend you do the same. Shop before hand as there is not a grocery store nearby. The location is right across the street from a Circle K but the house is nestled far back from the road with a garage out front so the gas station and all it's buzz were not at all noticeable. The living room was arranged awkwardly and with some tired furniture and the TV is actually in the dining room. If you were a large group trying to watch a movie or gather in the living room this would be a bit challenging. The beds were extremely comfortable!

Our stay at Grants Island was just what we needed for a little family getaway! The weather complied, the lake and views from the dock were amazing. The use of the pontoon made for good fishing but even better fishing right off the dock! John was more than accommodating with our needs and communication was easy. The cabin fit 5 of us just fine and everyone enjoyed themselves. The local restaurant had great food and drinks!

Kim's place on Oneida Lake was fabulous. The house was everything advertised. Check-in was very easy as was Check-out. The house was very spacious for our 10-man reunion. The house was very clean, well-supplied toiletries, and many cooking utensils. The lake view was gorgeous each evening and the closed in porch was perfect for meals and hanging out. If the highest rating is a "10", Kim's place gets a "10+". I would highly recommend this house to and vacation goer!!!!!!!!

We booked this cabin for a girls weekend getaway. It was lovely. The cabin is clean and well laid out. The kitchen area was actually a bit bigger than it looked in the pictures. The dock, the deck and the fire pit area have lots of comfortable seating to enjoy the views of the lake. Get up for the sunrise, it was beautiful. Just a short drive into Old Forge for restaurants and shopping and very close to the Bald Mountain Trailhead. Our first night we grabbed a bite at the tavern next store. The food and the service were both great! The host was very responsive and answered all our questions. I would definitely book this cabin again. Thanks for a great weekend!

My family and I stayed at the lake house for the weekend and we will def be back! The house was exactly as pictured. Very clean, beautifully decorated, nearby restaurants, quiet and cozy neighborhood, you can easily go on a nice walk by the lake we have nothing but good things to say. We really enjoyed all the games they had in one of the bedrooms. We spent a whole night just playing games :) Host was very nice and responsive. If you decide to stay we recommend going to Harpoon Eddies to eat. It was delicious!! The host provided a book with lots of recommendations for restaurants/activities in the area - that was greatly appreciated!

Was a great location, close to everything we wanted to do, 10-15 mins from golf courses, 10-15 mins from casino. Backyard was just big enough for lawn games/activities, hard to beat being right on the water for the price

This was our fifth year coming up to Camp David. I don't even look for another place because we know that this is our "home away from home" for a few super relaxing days. Everything you need is there. Very quiet and private. Always a great escape here. And Mike is extremely responsive and accommodating. Can't wait until next year.

This was a beautiful place! The rooms are all so nice and spacious. The house was very clean and the hosts were amazing and very friendly when we had questions. We would highly recommend this place for a nice and relaxing vacation!

Staying at Brandon and Corey's place was like the definition of the best AirBnB can be. The house is cozy and beautiful, and we found it totally decorated for the Christmas season and perfect for our party of 6. It's the level of thoughtfulness that made our stay special. 'Emergency' amenities laid out in the bedroom just in case; a kitchen that is very well equipped, well-designed and highly functional; coffee supplies laid out and ready for the morning; a binder of local recommendations, etc. etc. Brandon's communications were also fantastic. He reached out proactively to ensure we had everything we needed and set a very relaxed and welcoming tone. It is no mystery why he and Corey are super hosts! Thank you, Brandon and Corey, for setting the bar for what other properties/owners can be!!

We had another wonderful stay at the Dollhouse. The weather was perfect and the hiking (which includes a great hike from the front door) was amazing. The sunsets on the back porch were delightful. Evenings in front of the fireplace were a great way to end the day. The accommodations were comfortable and welcoming. The Dollhouse worked perfect for a family gathering and everyone enjoyed their visit. Virginia is an exceptional and responsive host. We had a problem with the internet, and she responded immediately and solved the problem. We plan to be back again next year.

It was the perfect location between the ski lodges: Snow Ridge and McCauley Mtn. The rooms were cozy and the kitchen was the perfect size for cooking dinners.

This place was beautiful. It was right next to town making it very walkable. Ryan was very helpful and a great host. We have 0 complaints about our stay!!

We had a great stay at Quiet Time. The house is in a quiet, peaceful location in the beautiful Raquette Lake area, and was clean, cozy, beautifully decorated, and well stocked. We appreciated the comfortable beds and enjoyed the back patio and fire pit and 2 spacious living rooms and dining room. Carla was a responsive host.

We had a small high school girls' reunion with several of us traveling from a distance- we all grew up in this area. The lake log home was beautiful- easy access, beautiful lake view. We had cold, rainy weather, but it was cozy inside and we got to spend time together in a relaxing home that felt like home away from home. The house was well stocked with basics. We'll be back again next year. Thank you, Daria!

The place was just as described. Perfect for our group. The large seating area was nice for cocktails and gathering. The kitchen was perfect for food prep. The gas grill was great!. We loved the large fit pit in the back to sit by and enjoy each others company. We did experience some rain. It didnt matter, we went inside and enjoyed the pool table, darts and played games. Super place, great hosts! We will be booking again for sure!

My family and I recently stayed at Green Gables for a long weekend. We loved our visit; the house is only 5 minutes to the center of Old Forge. The view over the lake is so pretty, the area is quiet, and the house has everything you need for a short stay. We loved the patio area that looked over the water. The bunk beds are in the separate building with its own bathroom and mini fridge, which the kids thought was really fun as they had their own "cottage". One thing to note for others who might be interested in renting; there are two flights of steps to access the main house, and several steps to get onto the dock. Not a problem for us, but it could be an issue for those with limited mobility. Also, the two twin beds are in a shared space upstairs which connect to the other two bedrooms which have queen beds. We would love to stay again, and recommend this rental, especially for families.

The place was beautiful and very spacious. We had a wedding to attend and it was only 15 minutes for the venue. We were able to feel at home here and enjoy our time while celebrating one of most beautiful days for our friends. Christopher was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. We appreciate being able to stay here and will be staying again if we are ever in the area!

Trent's home is a beautiful retreat for any occasion. We enjoyed the home very much. Just wished we were there longer to enjoy the outdoors and the fire pit. We did get to enjoy a Mother's Day brunch at the dining table that overlooked the back yard.
