Near Market & Castle | Double Room w/ Shared Bath

Tiny but cosy room, which is clear from the pictures. The hostel has great amenities and is super close to the castle + park, which in our view is the main attraction of the city. We can also recommend to stay here during the festival of the warriors in the first week of June!

What an amazing place to stay! Great living in a historic house, but with comforts like air conditioning and a modern bathroom. The common area was very cool and the porch was very peaceful. I loved my stay!

Staying here is the best decision I have made on my (so far) 3 week Japan trip. This place had the least reviews of all places I’m staying at - but it turned out to be so amazing. The host is so sweet, kind, (very) responsive and helpful. I needed help with understanding how to visit Shirikawa-go, and she helped me understand how to do it. She really did everything to make my stay amazing. The guest house overall is according to the photos and description, and it felt really nice being there. Peaceful atmosphere and everything. If you want to experience something truly Japanese, I think this especially then is an amazing choice. Also, the Wi-fi was amazing! Can’t remember the exact speed I had… but I believe it was consistently over 130mbps. Worked extremely well. This is fairly easy to access from the nearest station - around a 15min walk. I can SO highly recommend this place - and I want to come back here again - hopefully I get to do so soon. Thank you!! ☺️

It was a very relaxing room.Even if two people stay, you can use the space luxuriously.Although it has been renovated, the good qualities of a rural Japanese house have been preserved. The cleaning was also thorough and comfortable. There is also a hot spring with an open-air bath nearby, so I went to soak in the bathtub. There is a river nearby, and the location is quiet and good, making it ideal for evening and early morning walks. It is right next to Hakusan Hiyoshi Shrine, so it is recommended for those who want to visit the shrine.

Excellent place, very well located, it is in the area of tea houses, very traditional. Shuji is super friendly, she explains everything in her space, recommends places, it makes you feel very comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the mattress in the room that touched me was a little sunken. But I still got a good rest.

(Fuyumi) [1-minute walk to Nishi Teahouse Street] Newly opened! An inn where you can enjoy authentic Chinese tea and incense, and local sake at night

The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive. They helped us find local bikes to hire and recommended places for us to visit. We loved returning in the evenings to tell them about our adventures. They were so accommodating and easy to communicate with. It’s easy to find the place and the rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated. The shared bathrooms were pristine and cleaned daily. It was a short walk along the river to the city and plenty of public transport options. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return to this beautiful place again one day. Thank you Kanazawa Kigen team much love from Hannah and Simon and NZ!
