Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Onondaga County

What a perfect spot for a family gathering! The seating areas—outside, dining, just hanging out—were spacious and comfortable. We spent hours together on the back deck and around the fire pit. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well-apportioned, clean, and accommodating. Thanks, Tim, for sharing your great bungalow with us!!!

My father lives in a nursing home in Central New York and I come up four times a year. I have rented half a dozen different places through the years and this is the best. I’ve rented several really nice places and this is better than the best of those. It is beautifully designed and spotless. It has a nice backyard. The master bedroom is pretty spectacular. The master bathroom is lovely. There are three bedrooms, but one of them is not huge if you have two kids in there, but it’s not the end of the world and my boys did fit. That’s my only slight criticism. Yvette was extremely responsive. I will definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for a retreat in the form of a home away from home, I highly recommend Waterfall House. The landscape, scenery, and waterfall provided a peaceful environment. The home is very well appointed, which made us feel at home and comfortable. Nice amenities. The waterfall provided a beautiful, tranquil sound that lulled us to sleep—no sound machine was needed. Plan to drive a bit for groceries and entertainment, but it's worth it. We stayed at the property for our son's graduation from Syracuse, so we had to factor in driving time. Still, it was a nice respite at the end of the day, and we enjoyed sitting near the window to watch the waterfall as we relaxed in the evening and over coffee each morning.

We loved this warm and cozy home and felt right at home. The decor is beautiful and it has all the comfort one could ask for. We enjoyed using the funicular to go down to the lake. Very safe and convenient! Pauley was super responsive and friendly and would love to come back in future.

Ryan's place is one of the best Airbnb homes we have visited and pictures do not do the place justice. The open concept layout is great and the entire house is furnished and decorated beautifully. The living room is so cozy with the electric fireplace and the leather recliner (which is not in the pictures) in addition to the sofa. The master bedroom is very spacious and there is a second TV which my husband appreciated. The house is fully equipped and very clean. This was the second time staying at this Airbnb and we will stay here whenever we are in the area. This house is conveniently located to so many stores and restaurants and only 2 min to Target, Tops, Panera bread, McDonald's and 3 min to Starbucks. Wegmans and Trader Joe's is only about 8 min away and Syracuse U is 18 min away. This is a perfect housee for any SU families visiting their child.

This was our second stay at this lakeside cottage…and we hope to return in the future. It’s a great location…right on the lake in a quiet neighborhood. The living space is comfortable, with lots of natural light.

GREAT HOME WONDERFUL MEMORIES. This home had everything we needed. We were traveling with two teenagers to visit Cornell and Syracuse. They each had their own rooms upstairs with a bathroom and we had our own space downstairs with our own bathroom and there was an extra bedroom that we didn’t use. Played board games and had a blast with the kids. Visit the breakfast spot, Rise and Shine and a taco spot around the corner from there with good food and drinks. Hosts were super responsive. I Would come back to stay here.

This home was perfect for our stay! Deb is responsive and kind and I have to say, this was the cleanest, nicest air bnb I’ve ever stayed in. I gotta say….the kitchen is stocked! And she had an abundance of supplies! I had to do a load of laundry, and there was the soap! I had brought my own extra TP, paper towels and rags because experience tells me to. lol (you don’t need to bring anything!) There is some road noise, but we heard nothing at night at all! Wish I could post a picture of the back porch and yard. Just beautiful! I got a great picture of the pond with the sun setting behind it. It was so nice!!! Will be staying again. I have friends in the area.

Beautiful, older home. Very spacious and clean. The back bedroom has the firmest mattress- perfect after a long day of driving. John was very responsive and super helpful when I had silly questions. Will be back!

Very comfortable Airbnb with plenty of amenities. Stephen was very kind and responsive. The street can get a little noisy as night but overall a very pleasant stay!

Todd is an excellent host with great communications and warm heart. We enjoyed our weekend retreat in a completely peaceful setting. Lovely porch overlooking the lake was all we needed. Nice modern updates to the entire apartment. Thanks again for a super getaway.

easy check in & out. house was clean & cozy; very accommodating for 5 adults. quick drive to the mall and other stores. definitely will be checking availability for this house every time i need to stay in Syracuse.
